When are decorations put up for Halloween :confused3 I'd like to go the beginning of October, are they up then? Thanks!!!

Well, most of the sites start decorating pretty much from the beginning of October on. Although, you'll find most of the sites decorated during the couple weeks leading up to Halloween.

As for the Fort itself, they don't do much decorating, not like the Christmas decorations or anything (which around the Fort are pretty sparse anyways). Since so many sites decorate themselves, I guess they figure they don't have to put much up or something.

So yea, if you go at the beginning of October, you should already be seeing some sites with the decorations up. You defintely won't see any decorations done by the Fort itself yet at that point (like I said, they really don't do much for Halloween anyways).

I thought the MNSSHP begins with dates in Sept. I would think that would mean the park is decorated by then, in time for the parties. I don't know for sure, but its a good guess.

Yea, I think she means the Fort though, not the parks. Yes they normally start in late September, and I would hope if you're paying for the ticket that they would have it decorated...lol.

Thanks! If MNSSHP starts in Sept, it stands to reason that the parks are decorated then. I just wasn't sure when MNSSHP started... thanks again!

Oh, you did mean the parks??? lol, if I were you, I would go ask that question on the theme park board, they'll have a much better idea, you'll get tons of answers over there :)

I don't think the parks are decorated much for Halloween when it's not MNSSHP though, Christmas is the main decoration time.

MK will be decorated with fall decor but during MNSSHP there are more halloween decor mainly blow-ups (this is at the beginning of October when we go so any other time, I have no clue). The park isn't decorated well that morning but then that evening...the magic begins! All the decorations just suddenly appear sometimes between 5:00 and 7:00 (that's usually when we're dining at Liberty Tree Tavern) so when we exit the restaurant the park is decked!

The MK was decorated with fall/halloween deco. the whole time we were there last Oct. They do go all out on the nights of the MNSSHP! The changes usually start around 4pm...the earliest you can enter the gate with a MNSSHP ticket. They really kick it up around 7 when the party goes into full swing!

To me, it is the most fun you could have on Disney property and we loved everything thing about it! The parade was awesome(headless horseman:thumbsup2 ) and the fireworks were the best display I have seen at Disney. I finally threw away the last of the candy last week!

That reminds me, we still have several orange bags in our poolhouse fridge from last year and the year before and probably the year before that and that...guess we need to ditch it, all the good stuff has been picked over! Funny how those little orange bags all look the same year after year.

I was hoping to do MNSSHP when we are there next Sept. We don't have children. Do you think we will look out of place there being just adults with no kids? :confused3

Nope, not at all. I've seen many adults (many all dressed up in costumes) without kids in tow. You'll be fine, just as if it was another day at the park:thumbsup2
