Mnsshp Friday nights?

We're going this September and are curious about the Halloween party. We've been before, but never so early in season. Conventional wisdom says the parties will start Tuesday September 9th. Second one possibly Friday, September 12th.

Which would be more crowded? The first party of the year or one on a Friday? I am torn, but need to decide so I can make appropriate adr's.

Of course some sites are saying parties may start September 1. So there's that!

I would assume this would be one of the rare times the Friday party would be less crowded than the weeknight party. However, being the first week, they'll probably be pretty evenly matched.
