MNSSHP for 2012

We have a trip planned for 9/13-9/18 and am hoping that there will be a party 9/14,15,16,or 17. I see that there was one for those dates last year. Is that a good indication that we might be able to actually go to one this year? At this point I don't care about a DVC discount, just want to go to the party since the only other time my dd and I went it was cancelled 2 hours into the party due to a lightening/rain/hail storm! When do they release the dates? Thanks...Oh and we are a group of 6...2 moms, 3 teen girls (12-17) and 1 boy (10)..any ideas on a good group costume?

The calendar is showing a 7:00 close on 9/14, so that night maybe a party. The next one is 9/18.

Touring Plans has the dates for MNSSHP on their calendar. You have to join to see the calendar though. These dates are not official party dates as Disney has posted them, but Touring Plans are pretty accurate. Here's the link:

I'm booked to go to Orlando on 20 Sep and so keen to book MNSSHP myself as I've never joined in. I don't arrive till midnight ish on 20/21sep so debating whether I book 21 Sep and hope to meet people as I'm travelling solo for first time ever or do I wait a few days?
I'm already booked for Tower of Terror 10 Miler on 29th Sep, so spacing out the parties might be good.
Any ideas when MNSSHP can be booked?

Touring plans is open to everyone for October.

Correction: I thought only the next 30 days were restricted. It looks like they only publish 30 to 60 days without a membership.

We are registered for the run too. It was my DD15 choice for her 16th Bday. Travelling will be myself 41, DD almost 16 and DD best friend 17. DD plans to full out run the race, myself and friend will run/walk.

We are only there for the weekend Fri AM to Mon PM but plan to attend the MNSSHP on the 28th and 30th. We have attended MNSSHP several times in the past and can't wait. We are already discussing costumes.

OKW...where are you staying? We decided to fly down Thursday after school ends..I just have to take my dd to University of Florida in Orlando and take a quick tour, get a letter from them and Friday will be an excused absence for her. When are you going down?

Thanks. Just found this thread. We are going for the first time just DH and I and are going for F&W but just a short trip and it appears MNSSHP will occur on one of our dates. I was hoping we could experience the party as well as F&W. Very excited.

Thanks for posting that, looks like we'll be going on October 4th if the dates hold. Was hoping for one on Monday or Tuesday earlier in the week, but this will work with our plans. We love MNSSHP, it's a must do for us.
