MNSSHP First-Timer Tips

First timer too! By extra large bags to trick or treat--how big do you mean and does Disney provide them?

We buy our bags when we go to MK at the Emporium. They are the yearly Halloween bags. We bought the ones that are the same size as those you can buy at most grocery stores so that you don't use the plastic bags (we actually use our Halloween bags we have bought each year as grocery bags). Towards the end of the night the CM's will load you up with candy (using both hands scooping candy into your bag). If you aren't a big candy fan then a smaller bag would do.

Thanks ArmyVet80!

There are debates all over this board about whether or not it's proper to have one person hold a spot in line. I personally think you should maybe have two adults hold the spot and let the 8 months pregnant lady and child do other things or sit down somewhere until 7.

I'll be 7 months pregnant when we go in October so I'll probably take my 4 year old to eat while my husband and mom stand in line. If anyone has an issue with that, I'll happily sit on them.

I don't believe Disney has an official policy on this. I think most people tend to get mad when one person holds the spot and then 8 people show up and get in line with that person at 7, thus now making the line that much longer.

They actually do have a policy, everyone in your party is supposed to line up together.

We are going for the first time as well on the 20th and Jack and Sally & 7 Dwarves are our must do characters. I planned on getting in line at 6 for Jack and Sally but was advised to start around 5-5:15 as they have been known to start early for their meet & greet. And then try the Dwarves during one of the parades.

Do you have a picture of the bags. I bought 2 at Hot Topic but if they are cuter in Disney I may just buy them instead.

Has anyone ever asked for the allergy friendly treats? I've read that you can take your candy to guest services and trade it for the allergy friendly treats. Not sure how that works and what options they have. Anyone???
