if I want to get the DVC discount, do I have to call DVC member services or can I book through the Disney web site? Also, how do I link the special event tickets to our magic bands., Thanks!

Either. To purchase on-line (https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/tickets/events/), your MDE profile needs to have your DVC affiliation to see member pricing.

If you purchase on-line, it should ask you who will be using the tickets and link them automatically. If you call, you can link them manually using MDE.
