MNSSHP! Don't skip this...

My tips: watch the 1st parade from frontierland. We sit in front of Pecos Bills. Expect to be there the whole time, the later you stay, the less crowded it is. Don't miss the dance party in tomorrow land. My son doesn't like fireworks too much, which is a win in my book because the lines for rides are shorter when they are happening. Also, we skip long candy lines. Every year, when we've been leaving, CMs have filled out bags as we walk out of the park.

So, do you think it would be worth it if my DH takes the 3 yr old back to the room after the fireworks. We just got back from a trip in January, and DD had a hard time staying up late. We are thinking about a later Sept trip. And I am hoping the Halloween party will be at the beginning of our trip.

My youngest slept in the stroller during the tail end of the party. He was younger, but loved the parade and then passed out after!

when do they announce the dates?

Also, if you stay there til midnight, and are at the mercy of the disney bus system, how long does it take you to get back to your room after the party? We are staying at AoA. If we don't get back to the room til 1 or 1:30 am there's no way I can realistically plan any activities for the next morning.

Nothing is officially announced until the tickets are ready to go on sale (on or around May 1), but the Sept hours are already out, and Oct should be out in the next week or two. We always stay until the end, and have never had a long wait for buses. Last year they were coming 3 at a time. This was for POP, which would be an alternate bus you could take since they are connected by a bridge. We were sitting in our room before 1am, but we stayed up until 2am because the kids just had to count the candy and eat some of it. :rotfl: This is where FP+ comes in handy. Sleep in the next day, and you can still get FPs for some good rides. :goodvibes

We've always been back at our room before 12:45. At POP and POR. We always plan to sleep in, but never do...too much to see!
