MNSSHP Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern

That same insert also says you can get an à la carte meal at Tony's Town Square restaurant. I didn't take any of it to mean that there is something special going on in either of those two restaurants. I just thought it was odd that CP, CRT or BoG weren't also mentioned as dining options.:confused3

My MVMCP insert stated the à la carte meal at Tony's Town Square restaurant & A Very Merry Dinner @ LLT. I called today, and the CM stated that what's special is that they are open 7-Midnight during the party, that they & other TS restaurants were normally closed during the party.

FWIW, previous post/thread stated years ago that LLT did have characters for the MNSSHP & MVMCP meals. I think this ended in 2010 based on thread....

Just my 2 cents. We have dined at LTT for the last four years on party night and we will again this year. We dine at 5:00 and are out about 6:30. So out in time to line up early if need be. They no longer have characters or special Halloween desserts. It's just their standard meal. HTH:)

The OP however has a 7:35 LTT ADR. Dining at 5 and being done at 6:30 still allows you plenty of party time (since technically the party starts at 7pm), starting your dinner a good half hour after the party starts and then needing probably close to an hour to eat would be a 'waste' of valuable party time to a lot of people I think is what is the general consensus.

So what is the real advantage to eating at LTT on party night? Location?

Is the food better then the Crystal Palace?

IMO, LTT does have good food (think Thanksgiving type food in the northeast). The location is prime if you time your ADR right and exit LTT right as MNSSHP begins. You're within quick and easy walking distance of Haunted Mansion, Splash and BTMRR. Plus, it's along the parade path, and there are several trick or treat locations very close by.

I've never eaten at CP, so can't compare the food.

Thanks for all the input. I was under the impression from the paper included with the tickets that the dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern with would be something special for Halloween thus be a "Halloween Event". We are sticking with Liberty Tree Tavern, but we are now going at 5:35.

My thoughts too, to something special for MVMCP. I had insert stating Very Merry Dinner. My 180D for ADRs is in 4 weeks, so planning now. I'll aim for latest lunch, 3pm. Hopefully finished by 4:30 & head for early party start/ line for characters. Especially since you can enter @ 4pm for party.

It sounds like the meal is a party event, and what is the difference between time in line waiting for characters and time at a restaurant to meet characters? :confused3
I totally agree! Every time we go to MVMCP we eat at LLT right before the party. It wouldn't be MVMCP without LLT!

And to have that much access to (and attention from) beloved characters in costume? It's a no brainer!! :thumbsup2

I cannot remember if this has been addressed upthread, but I do not think LLT is a character meal any longer. It is a shame, really, because it was a cute one, I think it is still a great place to have dinner before the party because you are already in the park, so no time wasted navigating back into the MK.

Not sure when you last attended MVMCP but the characters are no longer present at LTT (even on party nights), as far as I understand it. I believe 2010 might have been the last time they were present.

LTT hasn't had characters in years.
