We (3 of us) have a 7:50pm dinner reservation during the Halloween party at Be Our Guest. Would like to book the garden viewing dessert party but since the dessert party starts at 8:45pm (less than an hour after my dinner reservation) I cannot book it without cancelling my dinner reservation. Was thinking about calling tomorrow to see if they can make an exception. The Tomorrowland terrace dessert party doesn’t start until 9:15pm vs the 8:45pm start of the garden view party. We’ve done the terrace dessert party a few years ago but want to try a straight view of the castle this time. We won’t eat a lot of dessert, just mainly want the reserved garden viewing area for the 10:15pm show. If they are able to make an exception, are there any foreseeable problems with being a little late to the dessert party?

Thanks. I’ll research other places to eat. Last year we had a hard time finding a place to eat since it seemed a lot of quick service places were shut down or just serving sugary sweets.

Correct, it's a Halloween Party! :jumping1:

FYI, there’s no reason to arrive on time to the dessert party other than personal preference. I prefer to arrive 30-45 mins to fireworks time as I’d rather be doing other things during the party and I’m more motivated by the view than the desserts to begin with.

But I agree with others that I’d personally not want to spend dining time at MNSSHP.

Places like Pecos Bill, Casey’s, Lunching Pad have mobile ordering available during the party, I’d look into that if any are options for you. Columbia Harbor House is open until 8pm.

Add me to the "why are you wasting expensive party time on a TS ADR???" camp.

If you must have a sit-down TS meal, do it between 4 and 7. If you must eat later, grab quick service (which I'd still vote for getting before 7 so you're not wasting party time eating).

We never have dinner on a dessert party night. My suggestion is to eat a late lunch. They have savory items at the buffet and for us, it's impossible to really get the most out of the buffet after eating a dinner meal just a few hours before. I agree with others though- it's a huge waste of time to do sit down dining (or honestly, any dining, during the party). If you think you really need a meal, eat something before the party starts. They're very busy, hard to get a lot done, impossible if you take an hour or more to eat.

Is this something that we can show up to, grab something to snacks, leave and come back 15-20 minutes before the fireworks?
I agree that I don't need to be spending a hour+ at the desserts.

Yes. You can come and go as you please during the duration of the dessert party.

Yes, to echo PP, you can come and go as you please.

For some real-world experience... last Friday we checked in roughly 9:02pm, grabbed some quick desserts, water, etc.

Went over to the garden around 9:15pm as we wanted to watch the first parade (it’s not a good view from there but you can see tall parts).

We watched half the parade then left around 9:37pm to go to Tomorrowland for some ToT trails.

Came back to the garden at 10:01pm. Fireworks were at 10:15pm.

Last Friday was a particularly not-crowded party and the dessert party was pretty sparsely attended, not sure I’d want to arrive 15 mins before fireworks if things were more crowded, but YMMV.

Hope that helps!
