I'm planning on going to MK on September 10th during the day but not going to the MNSSHP scheduled event for the evening. Are the crowds generally lower during the day because of the shorter hours (closing at 7pm) from people not attending the MNSSHP? I've looked at numerous crowd calendars and can't really get a sense if the crowds are higher or lower.

I had posted this question earlier - I asked that if choosing between two days (one with MNSSHP and one without) which would have lower crowds,. The answer I got was that party days would have lower crowds. HTH!

I have always enjoyed Sunday morning in the MK. I will agree with LSUfan in that the crowds are usually less, usually being the important word!

I would say that crowds are lower, but keep in mind that party guests are let in at 4 PM not 7, so the park gets steadily more and more crowded starting at 4.

I've seen it go both ways especially when your closer to the holiday and there is less and less days without a party.

I think a good strategy is to plan to be done and leaving by 4pm. You don't have to leave but it will get very crowded when the party goers join you at 4pm. They also want the best MK for their buck so a vast majority come in between 4 and 5. If your a resort break in the afternoon type of family, just shift your break a couple hours and go out for a late dinner. or just head out for dinner after you leave and have an early no break day.
