Any adults dressing up in a costume for MNSSHP? My DD wants to wear a costume and asked us if we could dress up with her. I didn't plan on it, but she asked so I guess DH and I will have to think of something to go as.
We are going to dress up. DS11 is going to be a Jedi and DD3 is either going to be Wendy or Lilo (she won't make up her mind). I am going to dress up as a Mouseketeer and I think I am going to put DH in a Grumpy t-shirt and a drawf hat. I was thinking about getting him the Donald Duck costume from the DS, but figured he would have a hard time riding any rides with it on.
We went last year and It was a blast my 14mo (at the time) stayed up until midnight. The minute we left the gates of the parks he had passed out. Yes we all dressed up. We had a pirate, Buzz, peterpan, dumbo, and DH wore a sombero(sp) and a colorful poncho. This year we are trying MVMCP.
We went a few years ago and our whole family dressed up and we had a blast. Most of the other adults at the party were NOT dressed but several were so you wouldn't feel out of place. I was conservatively dressed in a black summer dress with funky tights and a witches hat. Others went all out.
My only advice would be to wear costumes that are cool - the night we were there it was so hot and humid! I was surprised at the number of children wearing furry costumes!
You are going to love the party - especially the pararde! The kids will enjoy trick or treating at Disney - talk about the ultimate experience!

We aren't going this year but went for the past two. I dressed up in an Eeyore costume 2 years ago. The guy at the table where we had our picture taken couldn't stop laughing when he saw me. I wore the suit for about 1/2 the night & it was very hot & humid.
Some of the adults had the most amazing costumes. Our kids even wanted their pictures taken with them!
MNSSHP is our favorite event at WDW. Don't miss the parade.
My kids will be Peter Pan, Tink, Wendy (cool enough with shorts and t's but can add pants and long sleeves if its a cool night). I think I'll get Captain Hook hat for DH and I may dress up as a pirate or Mr. Smee.
We have gone to MNSSHP for the last 4 years and many adults do dress up. Many families have a theme going. My DH and I have not dressed up in costumes, but I usually wear something orange and black with my Halloween jewelry. The last 2 years at Target and at Kohl's Dept. Store I found really cute Halloween screen printed t-shirts that glowed in the dark. My kids got a kick out of that, especially in the dark rides like Haunted Mansion when my shirt was lit up!!! Last year my DS dressed up as a Pittsburgh Steelers Player so it gave my DH an excuse to wear his Steelers jersey to WDW to match his son!!! My DD was a little one year old Pittsburgh Steelers cheerleader too!!! Either way you could dress in full costume or just cute Halloween t-shirts would be fun and comfortable too!!!
