MNSSHP ~ Costumes

We are going to be attending the first party in Sept. I ordered costumes for all of us (family of 4, mom, dad and two sons) without considering weather. Does anyone know what the temperature for evenings in mid Sept average? I'm guessing I'll need to return what I bought because they are all full costumes, long sleeves and pants.

Yes, I would reconsider those long sleeve shirts! Me and DBF were there for MNSSHP Oct. 6th last year, and we were pirates . My costume had long sleeves made of a very light fabric and I wore fishnet stockings under the skirt. While the costume was very light, I was pretty hot the whole night. Even though it's cooler in the evenings, we were running around twice as fast as we normally would because there was so much going on! Even just the trick-or-treating will get you all the way around the park a couple times in a few hours. Add the fun of trying to get on all your favorite rides, getting your complimentary picture taken, and getting a good spot for the parade and fireworks to the mix, and you've got yourself a triathlon right there! In short, get the lightest most comfortable costumes as possible. You'll enjoy yourselves so much more!

PS - Make SURE you get a good spot for Hallowishes.... It was the most amazing fireworks display I have ever seen!!

Ewww...heat and humidity and long sleeves do not mix well at all. I would have to rethink that one. We went to WDW the last week of September in 2002. It was my favorite of all of our trips, but it was also the hottest. We drank lots of fluids and took lots of bench breaks. I would not want to think about wearing long sleeves in that heat. I would fall down and go BOOM! Maggie
