Its our first time going to the party. :cool1:
We want to dress as nerds. Do people dress as other things besides disney characters?
We don't want to stick out like sore thumbs. :goodvibes

A large majority of the people I've seen are wearing some type of Disney costumes. The most common being a pirate or one of the princesses. You can still wear a non-Disney costume and you'll be fine. I doubt anyone will look at you funny.

my kids are into Scooby-Doo and Ghostbusters. I wondered what would happen if we dressed up as them in Disney. Would "Mickey's Magical Police" come to take us away? LOL

You'll be fine dressing up as nerds! I have been to MNSSHP 3 times now and you see all sorts of costumes. I have seen Shrek, Dr. Seuss characters, and tons of other movie characters that are not Disney plus your usual pirates, football players, doctors, etc. I think nerds is a great idea - plus, check out the Disney Nerds merchandise while you are there!

i plan on the ultimate form of blasphemy... I'm wearing a griffindor shirt and tie, teasing out my hair, and going for the whole "Hermione" look ;)

We decided to dress it up with Disney "touches" like ears lots of pins.
DD has a Disney nerds backpack for school. Its so dang cute!

The first year we went, DH and I went as Ron Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone from Anchorman. It was hilarious and lots of people recognized who we were.

This year, we will be going with our 14 month old, all of us as hippies! So yes, there are many people that do not dress up Disney...

:rotfl::rotfl: This is good to hear

we have been to MNSSHP just as a couple and we dressed in halloween costumes. This year we are visiting with our DS6 he is going as Captain Jack Sparrow and DH and I are going as skeleton pirates.

My DBF and I are doing Shaggy and Daphne!

If we ever make it to a Disney park for a Halloween party, we plan on going as Buttercup and the Dread Pirate Roberts from The Princess Bride :)

Haha!! DH and I actually discussed this idea for this year, but couldn't figure out what DD would go as to match, so we abandoned the idea. Love it though!!

Going in October, my DD is going to be a Peacock with vampire teeth, my sister is Lucille Ball and my dad a tourist. I'll be the only Disney one in my group, Snow White.

Went back in 05'. My boyfriend was the Scarecrow from WOZ, I went as a pirate and my brother who was really into anime went as Mustang Roy from Fullmetal Alchemist. Most people thought he was prince charming. In fact several little girls ran up to him and asked for their pic with the prince

We will be going this year and both would like to dress up again but have not quite decided what we want to be. My BF was thinking train conductor (homage to Walt and his love for trains) in which case I would love to be a hobo, lol! Or I might just make an orange and black tutu and get a halloween shirt. Decisions decisions!

We are comitting triple blasphemy...Dumbledwarf - ds, Professor McChronical - me (my son came up with both of those) and I'm trying to convince dh to go as Hagrid

My boys were Mario, Luigi, and Wa-Luigi last year....and we saw a fair number of other Marios and Luigis.

I went as a Zebra in 2007!!!

This year my OH is going as Brian from Family guy (I think, unless we find something from WalMart out there) and I'm going as the Cheshire Cat! (Yeah that IS Disney though)
