MNSSHP Characters- Do They Change?

Went to MNSSHP last year for the first time and had a BLAST! One of the best parts was seeing all the "rare" characters available for photos. Just wondering, though, for all you experienced party-goers: does the assortment of characters seem to change each year, or do you pretty much see the same ones? We're going again this year (October 1st!). I'd just like to know in advance so I don't get my hopes up too high! Thanks in advance for your replies!

This is a question I been wondering, too!!!!!!! I went to the 1st two Halloween Parties last year in early October. The 1st night, I mainly stayed in Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Frontierland. The 2nd party, I stayed either on Main Street, or by the Castle, or Fantasyland and Toontown. I did not hang around much in the same areas, so I don't know if the characters I saw were there both days or not! Some of the cool characters I saw were Big Bad Wolf, Snow White Witch, Rolie Polie Olie, Zowie, Goliath the Gargoyle, Phoebus, Quasimodo, Frollo, Pain, Panic, Malificent, Stromboli, Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Sneezy, Bashful, and Scrooge!

Characters I still want to find are Darkwing Duck, Brer Fox, and maybe Gaston!

I do remember seeing the dwarves both times, and the Hunchback characters. Everyone else, I am not sure! I am going on Halloween this year, so I hope to see plenty of villians!

HugsForEeyore - I saw Gaston at MNSSHP last year in late October in front of the Castle after Cinderella's Surprise Celebration. Cindy announced some of her "not so scary friends" wanted to come out and meet everyone and a parade of villians came out. We got autographs and pictures with Gaston and Uncle Scrooge and Frollo, but I also saw Malificent and a bunch of others. When you saw the Hunchback characters, were they doing autographs and pictures? I saw them at one of the kid's dance parties and felt awkward approaching them to take a picture.

Well this will be our 9th MNSSHP,alot of the characters have been the same...I like seeing so many of the Villians! I've seen all the characters mentioned but also have seen Jafar,Gov.Radcliffe ,the Haggy Witch from Snow White...she scared the oops right outta me!!!!

The Pooh Gang and the Fab 5 have changed their Halloween Costumes through the years.The Country Bears are on the riverboat alot of the time.

I've seen Brer Fox several times in Frontierland sometimes around Spalsh Mt .One time in Pecos Bills restaurant...they use to bring the characters out in that area through the restaurant around the bathroom area.

Do the rare characters (Rollie Pollie Ollie, Zowie, etc) do meet and greets, or just out in the parades for MNSSHP? Is there a guide to tell where they will be also, or do you just have to find them?

We also saw them dancing away at the little party at Ariel's Grotto. There was Phoebus, Quasimodo, Esmeralda, and some colorful gypsys and stilt-walkers. They definately were doing pictures and autographs, and we got Quasimodo and Phoebus there. From what I observed, I think they "go with the flow" - sometimes they would dance, and sometimes they would stop and meet and greet. I had no problem meeting them, and I was solo even. Frollo was not with them, as we saw him on Main Street.

The rare characters most certainly are available for meeting and greeting! Some are also in the parade, like the Snow Witch. Some characters at the Halloween party greet but don't do autographs, like Goliath, Rolie Polie, and Zowie. I found most characters by wandering around - I wish there was a guide! There seems to be good areas to look, like in front of the Castle after the Cinderella show, or on Main Street near Exposition or City Hall, or in Fantasyland for dwarves. I found Rolie Polie and Zowie by the ToonTown Train Station, of all places! Next time, I may ask a Castmember about specific characters that I am looking for, as it gets hard running all over the place!
