Disney fans all over the world look forward to attending <b>Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party</b> at the <b>Magic Kingdom</b> every year. Orlando weather is beautiful this time of year, the temperatures are moderate and the skies are often clear.

The average high in October is 84
The average low is 65
There is an average of 3 " of rain in October

<b>Halloween Night</b> always <b>sells out</b> in advance, so get your tickets early. :)

<b>Dates this year are:</b> Oct. 3, 5, 10, 14, 16, 19, 24, 26, 30, 31 - 7:00 PM to Midnight
<b>Prices:</b> <i>In Advance:</i> Adults (Ages 10+) $31.90; Children $26.58
<i>Same Day (If Available):</i> Adults (Ages 10+) $35.09; Children $29.77

The <b>Magic Kingdom</b> is transformed into a kid-friendly <b>"Spooky" Party</b>! It is one of the most themed special events at the <b>Magic Kingdom</b> and provides an evening of great fun for all!

A not to be missed, fun parade with floats and characters you won't see any other time. Even Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet dress up in costume for the parade! Prior to the parade, an announcement is made and the Headless Horseman speeds past on his horse! Unique floats include a Villains Float, Haunted Mansion Float, and Hades (from Hercules) float.

<b>Adults and Children Trick-or-Treat</b> throughout the park in costume! Upon entering the Magic Kingdom you receive a small plastic bag with a few treats. At designated locations throughout the park, Cast Members give out treats. There are also some Cast Members walking the parade route giving out candy.

<b>Halloween Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks</b> - basically the regular show with a few changes, including Tinker Bell being replaced by a witch!

<b>Characters in Costumes</b> - Characters in the meet and greet areas and throughout the park were in Halloween Costumes!

<b>Donald's Pumpkin Patch</b> - located behind the Christmas Shop in Liberty Square. Donald makes special appearances there throughout the evening.

<b>Cinderella's Coach</b> - set up behind the castle - great photo opportunity.

<b>Complimentary Family Photo</b> - get your picture taken with Mickey's Halloween background! A great memento of the party!

MNSSHP is fun for everyone, regardless of age. Don't be shy about wearing a costume, it's part of the fun. Your kids will enjoy trick or treating in the safety of the Magic Kingdom.

If you are planning on attending this fun filled special event at the Magic Kingdom you can find other DISers also planning to attend. Just post to the appropriate date.

Hi y'all!
With all this talk of dressing up I'm thinking maybe this year instead of just the boys maybe Joe and I will wear an actual costume instead of Halloween themed t-shirts,so I did a search on Halloween Costumes.I found several pretty cool sites for make your own. There are 100's of places to buy costumes online!

Thought I'd share these with my DIS Trick or Treaters!

Hi Baloo - Thank you so much for this topic with the pictures. I've been showing them to my DD4 over and over - this will be our first MNSSHP (on Oct. 31). You also mentioned "TSAP." Can I ask what that is - I'm looking for as much info as possible!! Thanks again!!

Thanks again Baloo - I'm printing this link so I can refer back to it. Everything is starting to come together!! :p

Is it worth taking our daughter? She will be 12-1/2 months when we go in October. We are taking her to the Christmas party in December.
Will there be enough to make it fun for her and us? We have been many times in October, but have never been to the halloween party.
Just trying to decide if we should spend the extra dollars.
We have already been twice this year.

Hi Denine

MNSSHP is similar to MVMCP.I don't know how you feel about Halloween,I'm a BIG fan so I love this party.I love the weather then and dressing the boys up in costumes.Erich was 13 mths old the first time I took him and he liked it.

Yes there's lots to do... yes it's fun!! I think it all depends upon if you like Halloween with all the trimmings and if you want to spend the extra money.

I know that there is a huge gap between one and two, but my daughter loved it at 2 and the pictures we took are priceless, it was HOT, it was actually hotter the night we went last year than most of the days that we were at the parks.

I would also reccomend a PS at the tavern inn(???? the one in the america section), all the characters were dressed in halloween garb, Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale and the wait staff were dressed up too.

Most of the wait staff had camera's taking pictures of the kids...I've been going to Disney every year and it is one of the most DISNEY things you can do, it truly is magical.

Unlike the time I took my parents and my brothers family to Disney, took a fireworks cruise and the NEW capt got the boat stuck twice, stalled it 3 times, we missed 80% of the fireworks and then asked me to sign the credit card reciept! I did, but the manager at the Boardwalk took care of it for us....sorry for the rant!

ENJOY!
