MNSSHP buy tix early? wait til checkin?

We have 2 WEEKDAY opportunities to go to MNSSHP the 2nd week of October....should we buy the tix online OR does the early price allow you to get them at checkin? I can't remember. Last year, we bought early but I'm a little concerned about the weather as we have a couple of seniors going with us this trip....I know they couldn't manage the parks at night in the rain.
