MNSSHP best day to go?

Planning a trip for early September. For the time I am looking to go, there are two parties, September 9th which is a Sunday night or September 11th which is a Tuesday night. Would one night be less crowded than the other? The itinerary I was attempting got me to WDW on September 8th. However, we may need to go on the 9th instead and would not want to attend the party after a day of traveling. Opinions on which date may be better would be greatly appreciated!
