I have Crystal Palace dinner set up for 4:55 on MNSSHP.......keep or make it for 4:30?

Want to make sure I can enjoy the Party.

Thanks!!

You should be fine. The party doesn't officially start usually until 7 pm. You typically can check in early (which I would do) with gate entry at 4 (if you don't already have tix for that day) and check in is usually about a hour before. You should have plenty of time with a near 5 pm ressie. CP is normally about an hour unless you purposely linger.

ok perfect..thanks!!

And the park is pretty crowded that first hour or so after they party guests can start entering because you still have regular guests there as well. We went on Halloween 2 years ago and had a late lunch around 3:45 or so at The Plaza, rode some rides, and then around 7 started doing party stuff. I will say that if you have any interest in meeting characters you may need to get in line well before the party starts -- we thought about trying to meet Jack and Sally but when we went by the meeting place around 5:45 or so (I think) we were told that the wait would be at least an hour beginning at 7, and had no interest in waiting in line 2 hours to meet some folks dressed up as movie characters.

If you aren't using a regular ticket earlier in the day then I think that is the best time to eat in the park on a party ticket. If you can get a 4:30 maybe move it up but if not no stress. Even if they are running behind you shouldn't need more then 90 minutes to eat at CP.

I think it depends on what you plan on doing at the party. If characters are a must do, I'm pretty sure Jack and Sally started meeting around 5:00 last year. So people will start lining up by at least 4:00.

I totally agree with this. Also as mentioned by others the party starts at 7pm HOWEVER this does not include all things related to the party; Some M&G start hours earlier, SotMK card is available to pick up at 4pm and have on occasions been "sold out". Party specific merchandise can/will be harder to find or sold out as well. In other words early birds get the worm.

If this is your first party I would recommend an earlier ADR if possible 4pm is perfect and reading last years post here's the link to help you get started:

Whatever you decide I'm sure you and yours will have a great time.

It is early enough depending on your party must-do's. We did 2 parties last year. For one, we did a 3:45 ADR at Liberty Tree and the Jack/Sally wait was over an hour by the time we got there (about 4:45). For the other, we went straight to their line at 4 pm, waited until they came out about 5, finished that M&G by 5:15 then grabbed QS at Columbia Harbor House.

if you don't have a super popular character meet on your list, I would still move it to 4:30 (or 4:15) and really maximize your time. Have fun - MNSSHP is my favorite!
