MNSSHP 2014 Official Thread

Hey everyone I just have a few questions about this event! Do they have any photo ops of Halloween backdrops with photo pass people like pumpkin backgrounds? Outside of Jack and the Dwarfs are the lines to meet the other characters really bad? I was hoping for Mickey Minnie Donald Jafar and Maybe the Pooh characters? Is that too many to do and catch the parade and fireworks? How is the candy!? Last question promise! We are going on Octover 16th will the crowds be crazy that day in your opinon???

When you first walk in, the area in front of Town Hall (inside the circle) has a nice photo OP with pumpkins. You may be able to grab a photographer right after you walk through the entrance kiosk as well, I've gotten nice pictures taken there!

Your list of characters sounds fine to me, but I haven't tried for Jafar. The Pooh characters take breaks, so if you time it right, you could get through the line quickly. I strongly recommend checking out kennythepirate.com for character meeting advice! If you plan to skip the first parade, check which characters meet then, it would save you time.

Candy is good! Hershey, wonka, werthers, snickers, M&M, skittles, twix...and of course, the Peeps!

Can't answer the crowd question, but I'm sure someone else can - or check Kenny's page for info!

I can't help - but wanted to say we will be there the same night and it's our first time!! We'll have to keep an eye out for you. We are Ariel (my 15 Dd), flounder (3 yo ds), my husband is the chef and I'm ursula! My plan is to not try to overdo it but ride rides and see the parade. Kids love Mickey and Ariel so those are a must and hopefully a visit with Anna and Elsa.

I have a hard time taking my time at Disney but I'm really going to try!! She's Ariel during "Kiss the Girl" - red wig and all!!

I LOVE that scene and my little has a shirt that says " kiss the girl" with Ariel's face!!! We will def keep our eyes out for you!!! I bet she will be great and you guys too

I have a question about fast pass + on party days
My family will be at MK during the morning/afternoon using our reg ticket for our vaca and have already made fast pass selections via MDE for those tickets
If we also purchase separate admission to attend MNSSP that same day are we able to obtain fast pass selections after 4 pm for that ticket too? We will be leaving for a while in the afternoon but plan to return before 7 pm. If so are we able to make these ahead of time using MDE or only once we reenter the park that day?

I was able to make FP+ between 4 and 7 on party day and we only have MNSSHP tickets.....

Tdmoney7 I think I saw you guys once...maybe at the jack and sally line, Ariel in her blue dress, a flounder I know for sure....it was late and I was super tired!!

We went Friday the 10th! had a blast got a M&G with Anna and Elsa which was awesome because I couldn't get a fast pass for that one. My 5 year old became a coaster junkie and road Thunder back to back and wanted to be in the back because it was the fastest!! She is a special needs kiddo so we were shocked by this!!

Saw Chip and Dale in the parade only for the person looking for them, but we did a M&G with them earlier in the day at the park and at the parade they came up and gave our little one a high five!!

Trick or treating was cool with good candy, but we mainly caught the boo to you parade and saw a few characters ( loved the mad hatter and the fun pic with him and I)...rode thunder and missed the villians, sadness, but my little did hold out and waited (mainly because she was half asleep) in line for 40 mins for Jack and Sally!!

All in all had a great 1st MNSSHP and will definitely do it again sometime!!

We stopped in at the dance party on Oct. 5th and were surprised to meet Gideon...I hadn't seen anyone mention him being at Club Villain, so I was wondering if anyone else had met other-than-mentioned characters there??

I was reading in another thread (that hasn't been updated in a while) that Jack and Sally have been coming out earlier than 7. Is that still happening? I want to see them for my youngest boy but don't want to sacrifice a large portion of party time to do so.

We were there on Oct 13 and they totally surprised us at 6:15. Of course I had to call DH and DS back like a madwoman b/c they had just gotten off the line for the restroom! LOL! Also wanted to note that it was totally the coolest M&G ever! Jack is AMAZING!

Glad I read the FAQs -- I wasn't sure if adults really participated in "trick-or-treating" and wasn't planning to. But then my daughter made me this awesome -- and reversible! -- Disney villainess tote/treat bag, so how can I not participate?

Did tonight's party jump up to $71 per adult? That's usually Fri night pricing and I only paid $67 for next Tues. Strange...

I'm pretty sure you get a discount for advanced purchase. Day of is always higher (like I said, I'm PRETTY sure).
