MNSSHP 2012 Official Information

If you have a 7 PM ADR for the night of a party, you have to have a party ticket. They don't do 7 PM ADRs for the general public...at least that is what I was told.

We will be in MK all day on the 23rd and the CM who made my reservation said that we would only need to tell CM's that we have reservations and show up at the castle at 6:30 or so and it would be fine, however we would have to leave immediately after the reservation if we didn't purchase a MNSSHP. Which is why I was wondering if they change the look of the wristbands from night to night? Because we will be attending the party on the 21st, then back in MK on 23rd w/ressie @7:00. Will we be in the castle eating long enough to catch the fireworks again on our way out?

I would so not have a table service meal during party time. CRT is expensive enough without having it cost more by paying an additional $12/pp/hour (the cost of the party) to eat there.

We have free dining and we weren't planning on going to the party 2 nights, but since we were already there, figured we may not want to leave after dinner. I really don't want to give up eating in the castle, the boys have commented several times that they would love it and the last time we were at Disney I was unable to get ADR for the castle. I also understand these reservations are hard to come by? How fast do you think these dates (Oct. 21 and 23)for the party will sell out?

Thanks for you help :)

They definitely change the color of the wristbands. I think they have eight different colors available, and you don't know which color for a day until they start issuing them.

We will be there the 25th and 26th. The 25th has the advanced ticket price while the 26th is full price only (I mistakenly stated earlier that I couldn't get tickets in advance for the 26th, I checked and I can, they just cost more).

The extra $30 aside, the 26th works better with our schedule because we'll be at Epcot on the 25th. Do you think they anticipate more people though on the 26th and that's why they're not offering the advanced ticket price?

I can't figure out how to rearrange our week to be there on the 25th instead of the 26th. :confused3

I was told the complete opposite and that you have to show your wristband for anything after 6:55. I would call again to confirm. I can't swear which is the right info. I do know that when you have an ADR that runs into a party they have a CM escort you directly out the gates. So you won't be able to watch the fireworks from inside the park.

If your dining reservation is 7:00 or later and you do not have a valid Party ticket (or wristband) you do not have valid Park Admission. There is a very strong possibility that without Valid Park Admission you will not be seated and will forfeit your deposit.

The person you talked with is at a Call Center and not at WDW.

I was told that unless you have a party ticket you can't have a ADR at 7.

I know 10/31 always sells out, but how busy does it seem compared to other parties?

Does anyone know what the crowd levels may be at the Nov 2 party? It is after Halloween, but on a Friday night. Trying to decide between Sunday the 28th and Friday the 2nd. Anyone have any advice? :scratchin

All three usually sell out, so likely no difference at all.

So any opinion about the 25th vs. 26th? One offers advanced pricing and one does not.

Thursdays are generally less crowded than Fridays. That close to Halloween though, it may not matter.

This is exactly why they change the color of the wristbands.

Almost by definition, sellout parties are the busiest ones.

Thank you. I do understand that "sold out" means busier than "not sold out"

I was hoping for a real feel idea. If I've been in MK on busy days in the past, will a sold out party really feel crowded? Are the charecter lines almost un doable?

Also, is the 11/2 party likely to sell out?

I went to a party last year that had no discounted tickets and couldn't get over how uncrowded it was.

That being said, I'd always pick Thursday over Friday. Good luck with your decision!

That's a different question then. Your earlier question asked how a sold-out party compared to other parties.

Compared to normal park hours, much of the park will seem quiet. The exceptions are along the parade route for the parades and Main Street and Hub for the fireworks--those will likely seem busier than normal park days.

As for characters, the party-exclusive ones will have the longest waits, starting with the Dwarves, Princesses/Princes, Villains, and Jack Sparrow. Still, we've managed to fit in 10-12 or more different characters on a single night in the past. The key is to get in the longest character line before the party even starts, and to prioritize from there while knowing where they all appear.

I also recommend getting your main meal done well before party time, and saving rides for another day, since they can be done year-round.

The November 2 party will likely sell out.

mesaboy2...you seem to be a reliable expert on this subject so I hope you can help with some info....

DS LOVES villians. We are going 10/26-29 primarily for MNSSHP (we are aslo going in Aug.) MNSSHP is 10/26 and 10/28. I already pruchased tkts for 10/26We have late lunch at WC (2:10p) then plan to head over as soon as we can get into park (do not have park tkts for that day).

Since it's wkend before Halloween I am assuming it will be crowded. We only care about the villians...seeing them in the castle show, the parade, fireworks and of course as many autographs and photo ops as possible. Plus I'm sure DS (6 when we go) will want to get some Halloween candy.

Do you think to make sure DS gets full experience we should also get tks for the 28th? We plan to go to EPCOT that day to see some of F&W - we do not have PH tkts so we will leave EPCOT early to get to MK in time for MNSSHP. I am assuming it is best to get tkts for 28th in advance instead of chancing that they will still have them when we get down there. Do you think 28th may be a little less crowded than 26th because it is a school & work night for the locals?

Thanks for your input...we've been to WDW many times but this is first MNSSHP and it's a B'Day present for DS so I want to do my best to help him enjoy the full experience and get to see as many villians as possible. He aleady ordered his Hook costume and DH and I get to be Smee (I found perfect Smee t-shirts at JCP this weekend).

I'm under the impression that there are MNSSHP-exclusive merchandise items. Is this true? In the past, what kinds of items have there been? Halloween is my favorite holiday, so it would be exciting to find some Halloween merch.

Last party we went to (2 years ago now) we couldn't get off main street without wristbands - which possed a problem b/c they closed the main street wrist band distribution nd only had the ones at the gate and by Stitch's - long story short - if you don't have a wrist band, they don't care and will herd you out of the park.

We even explained our dilemma to them and showed our tickets - didn't matter we were herded out of the park too.
