for anyone who has been there this year how is it? I heard the candy assortment wasn't so good....
we will be there Oct 26th and hope it is as good as 2 years ago. We went on Halloween that year and had beautiful weather. It was crowded but DS (just turned 3 at the time) did great.
We really didn't do rides, just went around to candy stations, watched parade and got some great photo opts. Are there any rides that are a must?
Thanks for the info...

bumping cause I wanna know too. I'll be there on the 30th.

We went the first night. I think the candy assortment was good. In fact we are still enjoying it and will be. Our candy got wet so all the jolly ranchers made the rest of the candy wrappers all sticky. The candy is still good, but now we can't give it away to others like we did last year.

We got all kinds of bite size candy bars, Baby Ruth, Butterfingers, Snickers, etc. We got jolly ranchers and gummies and mary janes and lemon heads.

Hope that helps.

that sounds great !! I thought someone was complaining about too many suckers, maybe not on this board though. Anyway, your selection seems good. Was there anything w/ white chocolate?

We were there on 9/21. First time and it was great! Must do ride is the haunted mansion. They had a southern belle/ghost bride character on the hillside of the cue line. She was wonderful and interacted with everyone in line and invited them inside. When we left she wasn't there, so I assume she comes and goes thorughout the night. She was awesome! The parade is great of course. We were not so concerned about the candy as we wanted to do other stuff too. My girls 6 and 3 loved the dance parties. FYI they opened some of the candy line at 6:45 and you could go through if you had the wristband. There was no line at that point.

The Jungle Cruise is a MUST in the dark. It is WAYYYY cooler in the dark!!!

Also, last year they were handing out raisins. I think they learned their lesson. SO many ppl were telling the CM's to "keep the raisins" at the end of the night I saw one bin FULL of raisins and the CM said sorry, all I have is raisins and I said I'll take them and she FILLED my bag w/ mini packs of raisins. My DD2 LOVES them and had handy dandy, portable snacks for MONTHS!!! But if they should have raisins again just tell the CM's HEY, it's Halloween, give the kid some candy!! Seemed to work for everyone else.
