MNSSHP 2006, Ready to start planning!

Here's a photo of one of the Candy stations - This one was in Toon Town, I think it's Mickey's house

Here's the candy station located by the teacups - notice the Cards theme with the CM dressed as a hearts card (side view)

Also, take note of the big green balloons. Only the candy stations had them, so it makes it easy to spot

I know it's "not so scary" but do people take all ages, including the very little ones? Someone posted saying that WDW didn't really stop people from bringing in fake swords and such - do some people make it a little scarier than Disney does?

I don't think I saw anyone with any scary costumes. Definitely not like what I see young children(9-12) arrive at my door on Halloween wearing. Most parents dress their kids in simple costumes that are easy to move around in and they don't want to worry about carrying things. I don't remember any "scream" type costumes at all. I don't know if Disney would request them to take off something like that---or turn them away. Good question.

I do not think it sold out last year. Halloween night did but not till the end of September.

I think Halloween weekend was the only party to sell out. No need to flood the phones May 1st.

I am subscribing to this thread and also have a question, that may have been answered somewhere in the thread but I cannot look through the whole thing to see!

If I buy my MNSSHP tix, can I also make my CP ADR at the same time? I think I remember last year that you could make your ADR as soon as you bought the tix, even if it was more than 90 (and now 180) days out.

Also, anyone here go on halloween night AND another night? I went last year in mid Oct and it was crowded but not crazy. This year I am only able to go Halloween night and I am stressed that it will be wayyyy more crowded. I would love to hear opinions from anyone!

Thanks!

For the past few years they have let you book only LTT when purchasing party tickets and then last year they added Tony's. They are also the only two sit down restaurants open DURING the party.

All the rest of the restaurants can be booked at 180 days (90 days last year). They take ADRs till 6:00p.

So, if they follow last year, you'll be able to book only LTT or Tony's when purchasing tickets and the rest at 180 days.

I went Oct 2 last year and went Halloween night in 2004 and 2002. I think Oct 2 was less crowded then Halloween night BUT we had fun at all of the parties. We just had our priorities set and a basic plan of attack and did everything we wanted to.

I remember seeing a big sign at the gates to MK stating absolutely no scary masks, blood, gore, knives....
We brought swords in because we were pirates, and the CM said it would be allright. I'm guessing they just don't want any HORROR, just the fun part of Halloween...And yes, it is for Any Age! Just because it's a night-time attraction, I wouldn't bring kids under 4 because they might not be used to being up late...I remember reading a couple of posts where someone brought their baby and the baby was cranky and it ruined the evening for her. But you know your own kid :goodvibes

Also, it's not Horror - When we go to Halloween Horror Nights, my kids stayed in the Neverland Kids Club. This year we're giving them the option to join us because they're too big for the kids club, and they said they don't want to come - they'd rather get a babysitter for the timeshare!

I am going to the party on the 19th of October and made all of my 180 day ADRS last Saturday. At that time I booked my LTT 4:30 p.m. reservation for the 19th before the party. They were already filling up for the ADRS for that night because I wanted a 4:00 and those were gone. I got up at 7:00 a.m. so that I could be the first in to get a CRT breakfast and was shocked that the LTT was going so quickly.

I would recommend that if you want LTT before the party you make your ADR immediately on 180 day and not wait until you have your tickets since they don't go on sale until May 1st. :wizard:

Of course, if you 180 days mark is already here, book it but I'm talking about anyone whose 180 mark hasn't arrived yet, if it hasn't arrived by May 1, then you will be able to book it when you buy your party tickets. This will be especially useful to those going to MVMCP in December as they'll be able to book their LTT/Tony's ADR May 1.

I'm 99% sure that LTT is NOT sold out but that later times are being held for those attending the party; for when they buy their tickets because many have reported not being able to get anything past 4:30p. I find it really hard to believe that they are sold out through 9:30p (when they close party nights)...I haven't heard of one person getting anything past 4:30p.

Call on May 1 to see if you can get a later time, if you want a later time, that is!

I call tomorrow!! I am hoping to get CRT for the 26th! That's where DD wants her birthday dinner!

Good luck!!! :goodvibes

Is tomorrow 180 from when you want to eat or check in day? If it's check in day, try again on the actual 180 days from when you want to eat as I always have better luck that way.

Let us know if you get it!! What night are you doing MNSSHP??

Someone please refresh my 40 yr old brain.....The party officially starts at 7....for those of us already in the parks that day...what time do you get "shuffled" into tomorrowland? Last year we had ressies at LTT for 5:30 & it was just about perfect! - of course it was also pouring down rain!

Hey, I was there Oct 2 and it rained!! When was your night?

They ask people NOT eating in a restaurant to head to the Land left open at 6:00p till 7:00p. Last year it was not Tomorrowland, it was Frontierland/Adventureland.

the 26th! I think that will be better than Friday night - well hoping anyway. Tomorrow is 180 from check in - and I am making those reservations today so I will hopefully be able to make all ADR's! :)

I'll be at the 26th party as well and we did the Castle before MVMCP last year (5:30p ADR) and it was GREAT exiting right in Fantasyland around 6:45P...my girls rode Dumbo and the Carousel ALONE because it was still closed but the CMs were already at the rides.

You might not have luck getting CRT 180 from check in but should be able to get it 180 from the day you want the ADR. Either way, good luck, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

I agree. Though I would never entirely trust what I was told by a dining CM...I was told by a dining CM that the later LTT ADR times were being reserved until after the MNSSHP tickets go on sale. Since she thinks it and we think it...it must be right?!? :teeth:

We were there October 6th....& it rained on us at MGM on October 2nd ! LOL

so the goal here is to get ressies somewhere around 6pm....I've got them at LTT for 4:30, but I know that's because they haven't opened up any later times.

Oh so we just missed each other!!

IMHO, an ADR between 5:00p and 6:00p is good. I usually make mine around 5:30p but I've also eaten at 5:00p. YMMV. Some prefer eating early and getting to go to the open Land from 6:00p to 7:00p, not me though. I find it too crowded.
