MNSSHP 2006, Ready to start planning!

The adults in our party are thinking about being sports players from our area. One will be a Red Sox player, one a Patriot and one a Bruin. We thought this would be easy to pack, expressive of where we are from and easily manageable in the park.

Now, if the little ones would only decide :confused3 !

Last year there was a family dressed as Fastpasses. You will see so many cute things, you say "why didn't I think of that?".

I remember seeing pictures of the fast pass family, that was great. From the picture I saw, the costume didn't look too comfortable. I like the M&M's idea too. DD has red hair so Kim Possible is perfect for her and she wouldn't give that up.

Regarding the candy distribution, you will be given a special map when you enter the park that shows the spots for all the special things that night, such as picture taking and candy lines. There also is a Halloween balloon tethered to the area so you can find them from a distance if you don't want to keep looking at the map. There were 2-3 cast members per area and they had huge drums full of candy and they grab a handful and put it in each persons bag(younger and older alike). It wasn't all junk candy either. Then while we were waiting for the parade, more cast members came down the street to unload yet more candy. There were 7 in our group and we had more candy than we knew what to do with. Actually had to throw some away before we came home... couldn't get it all in our luggage. ;)

Also, we found lots of adults dressed up. All 7 of us did and it made for a cute family photo. DS was a Power Ranger, DD was Tink, DM was a cat, DMIL was Minnie, DSIL wore her jammies and DH and I were doctors. We wore scrubs and surgery masks around our necks. Comfortable and easy to pack.

We went to the first two MNSSHP last year and had a blast! It was definitely hot and humid. I felt sorry for some little kids wearing furry-type costumes. Some walkway areas felt congested at times, and it seemed crowded at parade time, but the attractions had very short waits, or no waits at all. We also got a pretty good amount of candy and we weren't even trying, just hitting whichever trick or treat stations we happened to come across. The fireworks were spectacular. :wizard:

Were going October 3 thru 9. This will be our first Hallowen at WDW, can't wait. Tina

I am going to be there 17th September until 2nd October so hopefully they will have the first one on 29th September :cool1: . Will dress up but at the moment I am not sure as what.

:grouphug: :cheer2: :confused3 :surfweb: :teacher: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:  :rotfl2: :lmao: :woohoo: princess: :stir:

Thank you all so much for the information! you are all SO cool! :cool1: Last year was the first time that the Disneyland in California had a Halloween trick or treat and they used maps but each station had a stamp you had to get for your map and youi only got 3 or 4 peaces of candy which were very small...nothing bigger then a sucker. They probably needed to know how much candy they would need since this was the first time. CAN'T WAIT for MNSSHP! I'm Pooh sized so finding a costume is kind of hard but the kids will have something to wear.

We will be going 10/14-21. I haven't been to Disney in 10 years  I am so excited to go :yay:

Is it better to go to MNSSHP during the week, meaning is it less crowded?

We will be there Sept. 30-Oct. 8. Last year we all wore Incredibles t-shirts, because we wanted to be comfortable all evening. This year we are thinking about ordering Dum-Dum sucker shirts or Moon-Pie shirts.

We have attended 2 of these parties in the past and had a blast. I noticed on touringplans.com they have the dates listed for MNSSHP for 2006. It is noted on the page that tells crowd levels that are expected. Does anyone know if these are correct?

When I emailed Disney, they didnt want to or wouldnt confirm the dates from this web site.Said they would release dates and Ticket sales April. i hope these dates are O, they fit in with my plans just great :cool1:

We'll be there too! 9/29-10/8. I can't wait to start my formal planning!! When the MNSSHP dates are officially released, do I make my reservations through WDW-Dine? or WDW reservations?

Just 11 more days 'till the October dates. I can hardly stand it!!

I love MNSSHP :stir: ! This will be my 3 third year.....one year we went twice. If the touringplans.com dates are accurate were going twice. Once our very first night which kicks off our vacation in an awesome way, and then on Friday. Which gives us Friday to hit DTD, nap whatever ...we tend to get soooo much more done during these parties then just during the reguler park day. I need to think of a costume......

Those dates at touringplans.com are a guess based on last year!

Dates have NOT been released yet.

Last year 'unofficial' dates were circling by mid-April and the official dates and tickets were released April 30.

Keep checking here on the Theme Parks board and you'll know when they go on sale!

We where there the last two years, will we go this year? We are going in Oct. bet you we will go again.
