My husband and I are taking our 5 year old for her first trip in Oct. i am curious about the not so scary party. Is it fun for a 5 year old? Is it worth the money? What does it entail?

Thanks in advance!

I think it’s worth it. If it’s the same as years past there is trick or treating, special character interactions, special fireworks, a parade, a show at the castle with halloween’ish overlays on the castle. I’ve loved it every time I’ve attended.

It's our favorite event of the year! As Mrsdoubie mentioned, there is lots of fun. If you are taking a 5yo, you might consider making sure he/she/they take a nap that day so your group can "go the distance" into the evening.

We especially like seeing characters seldom seen, the AWESOME parade, and listening to the hilarious improv interaction that goes on with guests on the Haunted Mansion front lawn.

I’ll echo that it’s worth it. We took our 3 year old in 2019 and she loved every minute of it. We didn’t go to MK until 4 just rested and chilled the day away. Went in at 4 stood in line for Moana. Then rode rides. Trick or treated. Park was slightly less busy than the next day which was a full MK day for us. I think SDMT was on around a 45 min wait.

Saw the headless horseman and parade over on the Sleepy Hollow bridge. It really was one of our better nights.

thank y’all so much!! I purchased our tickets tonight! She is going to be so excited!!
