MNNSHP on October 1st

Just wondering who else is going to the Halloween Party on the 1st ?? I know LOTS of folks are going to the parties later in the month, but we decided to go to the 1st one.

Who else ??? Also, this will be our very first time, do they supply the "trick or treat" bags or do we bring our own ??

WE are going dining at LTT. It's our first party too, as far as i've heard they provide treat bags.

We are also going on Oct. 1st and yes they do supply the trick or treat bags.. You will also get a wrist band to put on so they can tell who is there for the party and who has to leave.... I have been looking for people that are going on the 1st but so far there aren't many. We should all meet up and say HI before the night starts. We did this last year too, anyone who wanted to meet met at the Haunted Mansion for a group picture and then a ride. It was really nice putting faces to the names.

Is this a good time in Oct. to go to Disney, crowd wise ? I have been wanting to go to MNNSHP but I would like to go at a low crowd time also? Can anyone help?

I'd also love to know if the first party of the year has low crowds. Will the rides be walk ons? Will we be able to get a decent spot on parade route without staking out a spot an hour in advance? The reason I ask is that DH does not like crowds and during our visits we usually hit MK first thing in morning and get on all the rides with no more than a 5-10 minute wait and then when crowds pick up, we hop over to another park. I'd love to convince him to go as I think our kids would love it (8 & 5 yrs old), but want to reassure him that crowds will be low - any experiences with Oct 1 or first party in the past? Our first MNSSHP on the 1st!Surprise trip!!! Can't beat those post card rates. We normally go to WDW on Memorial Day. Hoping for short lines and lower temps.....

Crystal Palace - Liberty Tree Tavern
Out front - After Dinner - at 6:45 PM

The Haunted Mansion
Between 7 and 7:15 PM

Absoluetly can't wait, this will be our first Halloween Party! Plus, we haven't been to WDW for almost 6 years.

I am hoping and praying that our current plans to go to WDW that week and to the MNSSHP on Oct 1st do pull through. My DH found out about 4 weeks ago that the company he works for is closing down at the end of August. So at the moment, our WDW trip is no longer a sure thing. We're hoping he'll find work and be able to take that week off.......but nothing is certain at this point. It is very discouraging.

However, if we do manage to pull off the trip, I'll be there with bells on!!!!! We have PS for LTT at 5:30.

Everyone, please keep your fingers crossed for us............and sending a little pixie dust our way couldn't hurt either.
