We are attending MNNSHP on the 31st of Oct... I know, the busiest one, but why come all the way from Australia and not spend Halloween celebrating with the Disney folks??
My problem is, we have got 6.10 ADR (somewhere in magic Kingdom... can't remember off the top of my head) and I am wondering if this means we will miss all the good photo opps...?? ie. the 7 dwarfs... what do you guys think?

not even in the slightest...at 6:10 the partys just getting started..characters are out all night and it really is an amazing once ina lifetime experience to meet some characters that aren't normally out. it truly is an amazing time and the parade is worth the price itself! make sure you get pics with the haunted mansion characters XD

The Travelling Pineapple

I would say so.:sad2: I would think you'd want to be done with dinner at the latest 5-5:30 on Halloween and be in line to your first character by 6 to 6:30. If your ADR is not until 6:10, you probably won't be finished until 7:10 or later and why waste any party time eating? The character lines will be the longest that night. If your not done eating until 7:10 or later, you won't be to a M&G line until 7:30 or later and that is when everyone says lines are the longest. Do you really want to get in line when they will be the longest? Or get in them early so by 7:30, you can be at your 2nd or 3rd M&G.

I wouldn't do a dinner ADR. We are doing a lunch ADR and doing a quick dinner so we can get to the park and in line for the characters early.

But I don't like wasting $60 extra dollars I spent to be in the park either, so...

I agree with travelingpineapple! The party is just beginning and, in my opinion, the lines are much, much shorter toward the end of the evening. In 2009 I walked right up to Pooh and Piglet and we spent time together "mugging" for the photographer! :lmao: My favorite photo is of Pooh pulling me toward him; I'm loosing my balance and Piglet "rescues" me! :rotfl2: If I'm not mistaken our ADR was even closer to 7 and we didn't miss out on anything! The crowds seem to thin quite a bit after the fireworks. Don't change a thing...DRESS UP (the characters and CM's LOVE seeing adults acting like kids! :rotfl:)...and have the time of your life! :thumbsup2 :tink:

I learned my lesson after booking an ADR on the night we had MNSSHP in 2008. We had a 4:40pm ADR at 1900 Park Fare. I really felt rushed.

Now we eat CS in the MK at about 5pm so that we are already lined up for characters before the party starts at 7pm.

I've been to 3 MNSSHP so far. I will do the same plan this year-no ADR's!

Honestly, for what you pay for MNSSHP, I would skip a Table service meal .We did the TS meal before the parties before , and after being seated late and other issues, we ended up missing alot of valuable party time.So now we either eat a TS breakfast or lunch , we enter the MK at 4pm with just our party ticket, eat a CS dinner and we are ready to go well before 7pm.

I agree with what everyone here has said about skipping a TS meal during party hours. You're paying more for the opportunity to see characters not seen every day, not to mention the short wait times for the rides. I wouldn't waste that time sitting down to eat a meal that can be done anytime. There's nothing special about the dining experience while the party is going on. I would reschedule your TS ressie and do counter service somewhere.

We have decided to do away with the TS ADR! we will be eating so much in our 2 weeks there, maybe that night we can just eat candy!!!:rotfl:
