I finally got to eat at Emeril's Chop House at the Sands in PA. It was DELICIOUS!

And honestly I was expecting it to be more $$$. Don't get me wrong it wasn't cheap ($155 for the 2 of use pre-tip) But we had appetizers, and shared a dessert. Glass of wine each and signature cocktail each. To me I was guessing over $200.

DH had the Rib Eye with twiced baked potato. He cleaned his plate with the steak and then moved onto the potato and was too full. So don't bother ordering the sides if you like steak.

I had the fish of the day. (Sock Eye Salmon- at least that's what I think it was) Creole style with lyonaise potatoes. mmmm It had crawfish on top and I would have licked my plate if the restaurant was a touch darker inside!

So we give it 2 thumbs UP! If you live near it check it out! Great for special occassion.

BUT The casino was the land of the walking dead. It's slots and video poker/blackjack only. And people had that glazed over look sitting with cards in the slots. And yes I played a tiny bit. *I should say lost a tiny bit.

The Sand's Casino (where Emril's Chop House is located) is in Bethlehem PA, part of the Lehigh Valley

Its in Bethlehem at the new casino.

Plus right now if you have a players card for another Casino and take it to the new Sands there, you get $30 in slot play.

I'll do lunch.... MUCH cheaper! :rotfl: I hate spending a lot at restauarants.

Plus we don't really drink, so I would hope we could do lunch for $60 or less. And at lunch we probably would not be doing dessert - though we rarely eat desserts out, anyway.

There were huge lines at the Card exchange- everyone looking for that free $30. Hey I don't blame them. The video blackjack was weird. They had a video person that basically looked like a hooker- as the blackjack dealer.

I can't wait to see what they do to that area. Really it's not a great neighborhood. But they seem to have BIG plans for it. We'll see.

we saw that a LOT in Vegas in February... but you did have your choice of three different hookers... um, I mean, dealers. :rotfl2:
