Mmmm, peaches

Went to the local farm on Saturday. Not only did I get great veggies, but I bought the best peaches I have had in a very long time.

I'm sitting here slurping one down right now.

*nods* I hear ya! I just got back from a visit to my grandmother's. She had grocery sacks full of fresh peaches from a farm. I had peach cobbler every night and loved every bite. Yummy!

I live in the peach state. The peach is one of my favorite fruits. Sonic did have peach slushes, but they were only for a limited time. I miss those things. They reminded me of the frozen peaches my mom would make during the summer time growing up. She'd peel, slice and de-pit the peaches, pour sugar all over them then freeze them. They were so delicious. She told me she put some more up not too long ago. I need to go raid her freezer.

I made a peach pie last night and we ate it warm, a la mode. MMMMMMMM!!!!!!!

Shannon, never heard of freezing them like that. Sounds yummy, I will have to try that.

I love the skin, too. Not when they're frozen though-the skin turns leather-like when it's frozen.

Marilyn, she does the same thing with strawberries for my brother. Delicious.
