MM Warriors Part Deux (As of October 27)

OOPS, looks like some of you snuck in while I was wondering where you were!!

Lisa - You are too funny, but you listen to ME now...NO WAY is Pony getting married until she is skinny too! And its going to be an interesting walk down the aisle with all my "Best Women, and Tom" with me!!!:dance3:

Melanie - After last nights re-read, its just my opinion that when the scale stays the same, but he is losing inches, then he is in fat burning mode...remember that men get there WAY faster then women do...plus muscle weighs more than fat, and men tend to be way more muscular too...sounds to me like he misread at lest ONE of the scale readings, but maybe he is just retaining his muscle mass and just losing the fluffy fat..hence the inches lost....its all in the book! Thats why Diane is SO adamant that we not weigh! Since the scale reading really has nothing to do with how well the plan is working....THROW THAT SCALE OUT THE WINDOW!! Or at least lock it up somewhere!!!

And YES, the water and green tea are important too!

My trainer is the one who said you need to change up the exercise...so your body does not become used to the new routine and stop fat burning...If you guys do the zumba 2-3 days a week, then try to get in something else the other days...its all about getting 30 minutes MORE than whatever you normally do during the day. And remember too, that Diane said you cant just work out 2 1/2 hours one day and call it good for the week...we have to keep our bodies moving so that they wont turn to muscle for "food", but will head right for the fat stores...if your body does not see muscle separately it will go for whatever is there...and in order to keep the muscle "separate" we have to keep the muscles moving and working... Any help?

I was just reading another thread on Disney that caught my eye and saw a name I have been seeing on Diane's thread - I did a double take. Hopefully she doesn't peruse other threads too much. I don't recognize her from the original thread so she might not put names together. I don't post on the new site, but sometimes like to see the disasters that are occuring there!!

These forums seem so large, but in reality they aren't.

:scared1::scared1::scared1: Everyone put on your dark sunglasses and turn out the lights :ssst:

Barb - I AGREE!! OMG, we need to find out who she thinks she saw....Pony is officially in disguise:3dglasses

Stwill - Good to see you! Sounds like your results have been great in the inches department so dont even worry about what the scale says! I would be totally THRILLED to lose that many inches!! And I am totally embarrassed to even ask, but with all the folks from the other thread and all, plus the fact that I am OLD and hae C.R.S., I cannot remember your name?!! Please! We like to go by our "aliases" but its nice to have at least a first name too! Forgive me that I cant remember if we ever knew yours!!

Robin: I am surprised that there is an exception to the bedtime snack, but that's why we need to check with Diane when in doubt. I love that she responds so kindly. I bet we are giving her info for her revision since we are great at finding the loopholes. I guess since your 11 - 20's are 5 hours apart at that point, it still works. Thanks for checking. That might help me with my husband's program since he sometimes has a goofy schedule.:goofy:

I'm finding that a traditional dinner is often too much to eat, but last night I pulled out the stops and made turkey breast in the crockpot, mashed cauli, a few asparagus spears and for starters we had a cup of black bean soup with a few whole grain wheat thins to add up to 11 - 20. My husband was so impressed, he did the dishes!:dancer:

Stwill: Fantastic results! :jumping1:You are inspiring! BTW, we won't judge you by how often you can post, just pop in when you can and we are always glad to see you.

I'm on my way to court, but I had to share some fantastic news! I just had a phone call with the district court administrator with our county's prosecutor's office. She intimated that they will most likely be giving us a LOT of new work at the first of the year, basically managing a probation service for them. YEA! my job will be saved! I'll be back later. :banana::banana:

Yeah on the job security. Don't you love how the "leaks" seem to happen?

No problem, it's Sandra :goodvibes

That's wonderful Barb...that's called favor in a time such as this.

Ok here is my wonders for the day... well, at least at this moment :rotfl:

My DH has weighed up yes we know not to but he did anyways... Now for starters he has lost 2 pant sizes, so I know he is loosing inches, he said he is up 4 lbs from his start weight????:scared1: How is this possible?? I can see a difference and yet he says he is up! He really needs to loose weight for his health, I am afraid of him having a heart attack! So here is my wonders... is it possible? I was thinking maybe he looked at the scale wrong when he first weighed up or something? Now, he does drink some water, but I do not see him exercising much and I know that IS important, but he is going outside and doing little things (which is somewhat different) like playing with son,(football passing) and such, just to give an example but this isn't ever day, he is a hard one to motivate.
I was just wondering what you all thought of this... I have not weighed up yet trying to be good :dance3: but, that scale keeps calling my name:p

And I haven't been drinking the green tea either does it really make that much difference?

Pam: Congratz on your new arrival!! I just love those gifts from heaven:littleangel:

Robin: you are so lucky to have found him :woohoo: on the promise ring!

Beverly: My prayers are still with you ;)

Ok, will be checking in later! :3dglasses

Hi M - My husband weighed himself the other day and he was 7 lbs up from normal. Today he lost the 7 lbs. I think weight fluxuates fromday to day (curlique thing). I'm bad about weighing too and need to STOP!

Stwill: Fantastic results! :jumping1:You are inspiring! BTW, we won't judge you by how often you can post, just pop in when you can and we are always glad to see you.

Thanks, Lisa! You all don't know how much you support means.

Bev - I didnt' lose ANY weight in Step 1 and am still at a steady 167 (I go up and down). I'm going to schedule a doctor's appt too, my problem is I don't have a doctor here and need to find one I can trust and be comfortable with.:confused:

You definitely should do it.

Cindy, are you close enough to Diane that you could see one of the doctors that she regularly works with? I know New York is a big area, I wasn't sure how far you are.

Jocelyn: You raised a good question about unsweetened almond milk. 1 cup is 1 carb, but as you said, almonds are freebies. I think you'd be safe not to count it, unless we have to count things that are high concentrations of the source, if that makes sense. We don't have to count pb, so the same rule probably applies??

Barb, that's fantastic news! :woohoo:

Good Morning All, I've finally caught up with the post from yesterday. :goodvibes

Bev - Please know I will contine to keep you in my prayers.

Congrats to Pony! I know you're just beaming about getting that promise ring. You've got a romantic there girl...hold on tight! :lovestruc

:yay: Glad to hear that some will be returning to step 2....since I mentioned step 2, I would like to share my progress with you all. I weighed and measured yesterday and I've lost 12 pounds and 31.25 inches since starting this wol. I'm really thrilled, but being honest I would liked to have had more weightloss, but being real......I haven't stuck to the plan 100% either. I've had some setbacks with vacation, as well as trial and error with the transition. Slow and steady will win this race and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it. :woohoo:

If I missed anyone's post, I apologize and I'll try and do better about checking in. Have a great MM day. ;)

YAY!!!! That's fantastic!!!!!:banana::banana::banana:

It's a bit of a curmudgeon to know whether of not to drink caffeinated green tea if you've given up caffeine. I think it needs to be a personal choice. I think you could drink lots of decaf green tea and eventually get the same health benefits, but I'm not sure. Pony, I know you don't care for it, so that might be hard for you. Oh, please don't set your belly and hips on fire!:eek:

Stwill Good for you! That's great!:woohoo::yay::woohoo: You'll have plenty of step two company! I think there's more on two than one in fact.

:scared1: Everyone put on your dark sunglasses and turn out the lights :ssst:
:lmao::rotfl::lmao:

Barb - I AGREE!! OMG, we need to find out who she thinks she saw....Pony is officially in disguise:3dglasses
:rotfl::lmao::lmao::lmao::rotfl:

I think I'll paint my fat neon green so my body can see it better and eat it all up!:idea:
:rotfl::rotfl::laughing::rotfl::rotfl:

WooHoo Barb! I hope the news at court today is as good and the woman who called said! I hope it's better even!:hug:

I'm thinking on the almond milk we would need to find out if it is all of the almonds including the skins etc. Things like that get high in carb because they remove some of the fiber in the processing. Like white bread has the bran removed.
