I have 3 different questions regarding this...the abbreviations are confusing me!!! :confused3

1) Is MM and early entry the same thing?! And you only get one with 3 or 5 day hopper tickets, right?

2) What do you get if you stay on property? I thought you got to enter the park early on every early entry day as well? Or is it everyday?

3) Is there anyway to get an early entry pass if you are only buying 2 day hoppers?

There is no such thing as EE anymore. Early this year they changed the name to Magic Mornings or MM.

YOu can get it with most 3 or more day parkhoppers. Special convention tickets, like the Gay Days tickets people talk about, and discounted military tickets, don't tend to have MM on them. Buying 3+ day hoppers from getawaytoday.com gives you TWO MM days.

Also, when you are a guest of a Disneyland Resort hotel, you get access to any MM during your stay (assuming you have a ticket), and that includes the day you check in (if you get in mega-early) and the day you check out, if there are MMs on those days.

Ok, thats making more sense! So if we are going on Monday and Tuesday, and purchased 2 day hoppers, the only way to participate in MM on Tuesday would be if we stayed on the property, correct?

How do APs play into this? Do they give you MMs as well?

Also, I saw four tiers of APs available, with different # of blackout days per year. For the two lowest (and cheapest) APs with 175 blackout days, can ONLY California residents purchase them? Or can anyone purchase them?

The lowest two tiers of AP are for southern CA residents ONLY. They even make you put in a proper zip code to get the pricing for them, on disneyland.com.

The only way you can get MM as an AP holder is to stay on site.

Your Monday and Tuesday, 2 day hopper, scenario is correct! The only hitch is like what's being discussed in another thread, where sometimes there are special events that cause them to mess with the MM schedule.

I see. Well, APs make it harder to "save" money if you always have to stay on site for MMs! That def makes me re-think ever buying an AP. Hmmmmmmm.

To me MM is so awesome though. I wonder if it would save us more money to just buy 3 day hoppers (even if we only use two days!) or to stay on site for 1 night. I may have to sniff around and see!! I just hope they don't end up cancelling MM while we're there!!!

Thanks for the clarification!

FWIW, if you're buying an AP and plan to make use of that AP, you don't *need* the MMs anymore, IMO. (please note I tend to avoid Disney during the busiest seasons) I think I've been to DLR for a total of 18 days since September 2007, and I really don't need to rush to Fantasyland (nor does my 4 year old) on those days. We either get to FL early on a non-MM day or go in the evening when most other kids with regular bedtimes are heading back to their hotels.

So for us, MMs haven't been worth paying to stay onsite since we got the APs.

Though another important note is that we enjoy a bug's land more than Fantasyland anyway, so doing FL isn't hugely important to begin with! And since Buzz has FPs we haven't been concerned about going on that during MM either. I guess Nemo's the only biggie but most people don't urge Nemo during MM unless you have more than one day of MM.

For us, the admission that we haven't had to pay for since September has been far more worth it than getting in for an extra hour. :)

That is a very good point! We probably wouldnt go more than once a year anyway (mayeb twice, but I doubt it), we'd only use it for the perks. So I guess its not a good deal for us!
