Attended Moonlight Magic last night 3/3 - thought I would post some random factoids.
Park Closed at 8, event "started" at 9. Registration said non ticketed party guest could enter at 6. I had some in my group, they were let in at 5:30.
Food Voucher was good at Pecos Bills, Columbia House, Pinocchio's Village Haus, Cosmic Rays', Caseys.
Free Ice cream was at Storybook Circus (Big top was closed, which shocked me a tad) - line was kinda long, but went really quickly.
Shirt was nice - DVC FINALLY "Saved" me money, it looks like 1 shirt covers all the MMs this year, wont have to buy more than 1 shirt, cha-ching!
Park was crowded until the event. Rather crowded in my opinion.
Food was about timing. Tried to get it in the over lap window, walked by Columbia House and said "Oh, no way", went to Pinocchio's Village Haus- almost no line when we got there. before we ate there was a more sizable line)
I found wait time signs to be quite inaccurate. SDMT said 45 when we got on - it was under 20. When we got off, walked past the entrance again and it said 55?
The rides saddened me.
Splash Mountain was down before park close into the event - wasn't this literally just refurbed???? Elements of the ride were not working - particularly noticeable to me were the pods or whatever you want to call them that spit water from one to another, crossing the ride path just in front of the ride vehicle. These were down in December as well. The water canon that shoots water at the base of the big drop (often hitting ppl just starting to get into the ride) also did not work, and again, was not working in early December.
Haunted mansion was down (and apparently will be down for a few days according to wnwnt.com )
Space Mountain was down for an hour or so.
Fireworks were very nice, at 11:30, easy to get a decent view in front of the castle at last minute - not dead center, but still, a spots were plentiful)
Great weather.
All in all a very nice night, just the ride breakdowns have me wondering about the future.
