MM and CA Opening in Same Day?

Have a short trip planned for October 12-14 with my son, attending MHP.

Question I have is: is it worth trekking over to CA at opening if using a MM at DL on the 13th? Or just make the most out of MM and go over to CA a little later (9 ish) and hit the single rider line for RSR? I am leaning on doing this since his favorite ride, BTMRR, might be down for refurb. We will loop ST and SM at MM.

My son is 11 and he can handle single rider line no problem. I just hate to miss out on a chance to get at least one FP, just in case the single rider line doesn’t pan out for some reason.

We will check out Carsland on the 12th, but will take it pretty casual as we wont hit it until around noon (picking son up from airport at 11). I'll go into CA at opening on this day and both of us on the 14th.

We have a longer trip planned for the whole family the week of Thanksgiving, so I know we will get a good dose of Carsland then (with a whole lot of other families).

I would stick with MM and DL and if you want to hop to DCA then do it later along the lines of what you suggested.
