Does anyone know how heavy attendance is at WDW During MLK holiday? We could have Monday be our first day if it is a better choice to avoid the Sat. and Sun. of the holiday or is better to wait until the next week? Thank you for your help!

Hi,

In general, weekends are busier than weekdays, and holiday weekends are busier than regular weekends.

But attendance in January is pretty light, so crowds should be manageable.

We'll be there over that weekend and I've been searching out opinions on the crowds anywhere I can find them. The only thing I can conclude is that no one has any idea. This year Universal was very manageable over MLK.

Some of the professional sites have opposing opinions. I'm going prepared for crowds with a touring plan but if the parks are pretty empty I won't bother with it. It's going to be a day by day decision.
Good luck,
Bob

I was there this year in January over MLK holiday. We arrived the Saturday before the Holiday went to Epcot didn't feel it was crowded. Then Sunday we went to MGM didn't feel it was crowded. BUT the Mon that was MLK was crazy~ the local people had the day off from work and school and the parks were crazy. Then Tuesday morning it seemed a calm peace took over the parks and we stayed till the following Sat. So in my personal opinion the only busy day is MLK day. We had so much fun we are going back the same week in 2008!

Have fun!
