MK's "Princess of the day" ongoing?

My darling sister is at the MK parade right now and they are still doing the "princess of the day". I thought this was only for October?

It was only for October (for the release of the DVD). They still have the Grand Marshalls, but not Princess of the Day, with the horses and everything before the parade. The entire month of December was Military Grand Marshalls where they picked them from guests at Shades of Green. January should have gone back to the regular GM process...

We saw the parade on Friday and they had a little girl who they announced as Princess of the Day. She was in head to toe Cinderella costume and she got to ride in the glass carriage pulled by the little horses....

As of January 1 they are back to Princess of the Day, no other grand marshals. We were told by Trolley Driver (princess coach driver) that it will continue for the rest of 2006.

"pick" somebody to be the princess of the day, or do you sign up somewhere??

It's done by a cm and the child is picked, you can't ask.. they just choose someone in the park.

I wonder if they come in costume or if one is provided for them?

Wow that's kinda sexist, what about the boys, Disney really needs to focus somemore on boys, they need special stuff too.

Cool, I was unaware that they went back to doing that. I have been out on Maternity leave and hubby never mentioned it to me (we both work on Main Street).

As for the question about being picked, it is totally random, there are CM's that wander around socializing with families throughout the morning and early afternoon that pick them. The Cinderella costume is provided for them, they do not have to be wearing one already
