Hi,

We have two girls going both ages 4. One has some physical disabilities and will need at some point to ride in something. So, is it better to bring strollers or what does MK offer in the way of renting wagons or push/ride on items. Can anyone help. Will they have something two kids can ride in and at what price.

I think that the double strollers that they rent are great for that age. They can get in and out of them all by themselves and there is quite a bit of room in them. They can sit a bucket of popcorn between them to share and you may get a little break to walk around and see some sights! I think that a double is around $11 a day. I am sure that someone will know exactly.

Wagons are not available and not allowed in the theme parks.

That just sounded harsh, though it was probably not meant to be. I think you could have just explained why...

"Unfortunately, they do not allow wagon in the parks or anything that is pulled behind you because you can't keep your eyes on things being pulled behind you and it does get crowded."

Anyhow, the double strollers are great if: you are only 1 adult pushing the 2 children, and the kids won't fight. My kids started fighting so much about silly things (who's popcorn, drink, etc.) that we found it better to just get 2 single strollers. That was just my situation, but even 2 singles aren't much more money than 1 double.

The doubles are $18 I believe - I think the singles were 10 or 11? Getting a double (vs two singles) allows one parent to push both children. Two singles require a handler for both. WE broke down the last day and got a double for my two girls (because we'd had enough whining from the little one who couldn't keep up with us all day long and we decided to let both of them rest) - and I found it much easier to maneuver than our Baby Trend double baby jogger that I still have from when they were much younger (of course they don't ride in it now - LOL!).

This is WAY OT, but I found this post very rude and insulting. Perhaps you could limit your "Miss Manners" lectures in the future.... Feralpeg's response was not near as harsh as your "Correction"

 I have to agree. Ferelpeg wasn't rude in any way. She answered the question plain and simple. If your going to correct the way people answer questions than people are going to stop being helpful.

Sorry I just thought that it sounded harsh. Like you ask a question and someone just looks at you and says "that isn't allowed" Sometimes we type things without realizing how it sounds when someone reads it. I was just pointing out that it sounded like a harsh statement.

How would anyone know it wasn't allowed? And I did say that it probably wasn't meant to be harsh, but reading it, it did sound that way to me. So thank you for correcting me by bashing me. That wasn't rude either I suppose.

I didn't call Ferelpeg rude. Where did you read that???? :confused3
My comment was about how the post read. Sorry to ferelpeg if you took my post to be insulting, I didn't mean it that way.

Something to keep in mind....when very experienced DISers with thousands of posts answer something, they tend to be brief and to the point. It takes a lot of time otherwise. Most of us (well, me, anyway) are glad for their experience and knowledge! :sunny:

And Ferlapeg is a total sweetie and so helpful to people. :grouphug:

No offense taken. My answer was a bit brief. I never thought that it could be taken as harsh. I'll try to give a little more info in the future.

:thumbsup2 Feralpeg is always super, and you know if she replies, you've got reliable info ::yes::

The fabled Pushmepullyou from Dr. Doolittle would have a tough time in WDW.

Not a stroller/wagon question/reply but what about someone dragging a rolling bag??? Just a coworker was saying she thought to do that when she takes her FOUR (4!) nephews (8-10-11-13 years old) ARG!!

Anyway, she said it was bad when they went to an amusement park cause she had to carry all the bags, etc... and thought a rolling bag would be great.

What is the policy on them? I want to disuade her if they don't allow it -- or if she has to push it in front of her which is what I think will happen).

Anything with wheels is supposed to be pushed so you can see where it is going. So rolling backpacks would need to be pushed, not pulled. The reality is that when CMs try to enforce this they have a very hard time because as soon as their back is turned the person goes back to what they were doing before the CM spoke to them. Same thing goes with those $#*_)&@ stupid wheelie shoes. There is no skating allowed in the parks (except as part of the in-line marathon) but trying to enforce the rule with kids wearing those stupid things is extremely difficult.

If one of the OP's children has disabilities, I'd like to point them over to the disAbilities forum on this website. There's lots of helpful info there, about getting permssion to use a stroller in lines, etc.

OK, my wording is off, I know, but I'm not feeling well, sorry!
