MK View

I want to plan a surprise trip for my family. We are DVC members but I have always wanted to stay at the Poly, Contemporary, or Grand Floridian. Plus it wouldn't be a good use of points. What view should I pay for if I want an MK view? This is special because everyone has had to make sacrifices while I was in nursing school and I want to make this memorable . I am going to be picking up extra shifts so I can pay for this so any tips or preferences anyone has would be helpful

I would go with the Contemporary because they are the only Resort that gives you a full view of the Magic Kingdom. Here is a picture of my families Magic Kingdom View from August 2006, when were in room #4840 which is on the 12th floor.

I agree! CR is the closest to MK with great views.

The first time we used our DVC points toward a resort stay we picked the CR. There's just something special about staying there. The MK views are awesome, especially at night. I'm still amazed when the monorail comes sailing through there. The rooms are quite large, so you never feel crowded even if there are 4 people in the room.

I think you will have a great time and your family will really appreciate it!

Agree with the Contemp.
Although we had a MK view at GF. Of course very enjoyable. But still like the Contemp best.

I believe at all 3 resorts, MK view is a separate rate category, not a request.

We have stayed at Poly, GF & CR w/Magic Kingdom view w/ our DVC points. I would definitely pay to stay at CR w/Magic Kingdom view, you can't go wrong. Enjoy!!
