mk view tower room: contemporary

my husband & i are planning to stay at the contemporary next year - we'd really really really like to have a mk view tower room, and would like suggestions on how we can get this (besides arriving early on check-in, paying to upgrade to a concierge level & being willing to wait until such a room becomes available during our stay) - we are very flexible as to day of the week of arrival, as well as when (month) we can go - we realize nothing can be guaranteed on the reservation, it's really "the luck of the draw" upon when you arrive & when someone in the type of room you want checks out - we're just looking for any tips you can suggest - thank you!

Last year for the first time, I transferred my ressies to Dreams Unlimited Travel. We were on the 11th floor of the CR with a perfect view of the MK. I usually like doing everything myself but I must say that they arranged to get us the exact location we wanted. You might want to give them a try. And their service is free.

Groosch! I think you've about covered it!
They can't garentee any specific view room...but with that combo...I suspect you'll get it!

hi: we've stayed at the contemporary in the tower a half a dozen times and never had a problem with our view request. you have at least a 50/50 shot; just make your view request when you make your ressie.

I got an awesome room last year in the Contemporary Tower! I forgot what floor I was on, it was one under the club floor. We were the last room down the hall (first facing MK). We actually saw the castle from our bed just by looking straight at the mirror! It was truly unforgetable! From the balcony, you can slightly hear the music during the fireworks.

All I did was indicate on my reservation that I would like MK view and that it was our 2nd wedding anniversary. We did arrive at the resort at 8:30am, our room wasn't ready yet, but she told me I'd have MK view.

The only downside was we had two beds instead of the one king. I called the front desk and she said it's a "family resort" and the king beds are limited. We had a choice of the king bed or the MK view, and took the view!!
