MK view from CR?? How high up?

I see from an online map of the CR, that tower rooms start on the 5th floor. How good is the view of MK (assuming you are on the MK side of the tower) from the 5th floor? In the unofficial guide it recommends requesting 9th floor or higher. But I'm wondering, if I am unsuccessful in getting a higher floor, will the view still be ok?

My childhood dream of staying in the CR tower will come true Nov.13 and I want to be prepared when I fax my room request. It already states on my reservation, that I have requested a MK view (of course no guarantees) but do all tower rooms on the MK side have a good view, regardless of what floor it is on??

Anywhar above the 4th floor and you should be fine! ...the higher the better...but as you stand on the monorail platform (on the 4th floor) you have a good view of the castle! Enjoy!

I was worried that I would get a room on the MK side of the tower and then end up with a poor view. Now I won't have to worry about that. Will still ask for a higher floor, but if I don't get it, I won't stress about it.

My friend Kim and I went to the 1st Disneyana Convention in 1992 and had the lowest floor level room practically right over the Convention Center (I think the room was second to the last room on the right side, if you faced the Contemporary from the big parking lot). We were able to see EVERYTHING; the castle, Space Mt., Splash Mt., Big Thunder Mt., the Monorail, the GF, the Poly and the waterway connecting Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon. In the mornings you would hear the Riverboat's toot-toot and the Haunted Mansion's spooky wolf howl. It was magical, to say the least. Don't worry about the view--as long as you are on the Magic Kingdom side, you have nothing to worry about.

Magic Kingdom View rooms start on the 6th floor (only Bay View rooms are on the 5th floor).

We had a room on the 12th floor (club level) with the Magic Kingdom View, and it was AWESOME! Also was in a room on the 8th floor, Bay View, and the view from it was pretty good as well (Downtown Disney, Swan/Dolphin, and Spaceship Earth were visable).

Our 6th floor MK view room was great! I wouldn't worry about how well you can see the MK, as long as you get that side!

your looking to request magic kingdom view, over shops not resturants. This keeps it quieter and gets you closer to magic kingdom not over near the convention center. Now we have been on 12th floor through 6th floor and over convention center and near far end over shops and the views are stunning of magic kingdom. just shot for magic kingdom! Don't worry it will be spectacular! MKY

Heidica, I have only stayed at the CR once, but I really enjoyed my stay. My room was on the 12th floor, so I only have pictures that were taken from that height. However, I would think that *most* of the MK view rooms would be pretty much the same from any of the tower floors. Click here to view my CR Tower room photos.

Well, I'm glad to know that as long as I am on the MK side of CR the view will be great!!
