MK Transportation- how late?

I'm just wondering how late the busses and monorail run from the Magic Kingdom after Wishes ends. We are staying at Pop, so thought that maybe on our first night we would tour the MK resorts and then watch Wishes from the Poly beach (can we even do that if we aren't staying there?) So I was wondering how late the monorail would run to take us back to the MK and how late the busses run once we get back to the MK to get back to Pop. We will be watching Spectro and Wishes from inside the park later in the week, so no biggie if we can't do this. It just sounded romantic


PS- we will be there Sept 18-25, so I'm regarding Saturday, September 18 when Wishes is at 9:00pm. Thanks

The buses run for 2 hours after the park closes. I would think, that the resort monorails would run for the same amount of time after closing.

Last drop-off at the Magic Kingdom will be around 10:15-10:30.

Those are conflicting answers I think... 2 hours after the park closes would be 11:00. Tyler says the monorail's last drop off at the MK is around 10:15 or 10:30. Do the busses run until 11 and the monorail until 10:30? Sorry, I'm confused

I think Tyler is talking about the drop off at the MK from the resorts. Not from MK to your resort. It could be that the monorail would not pick up passengers from the resorts after 10:15-10:30

I want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly. On that evening, Spectro is at 8:00 and Wishes is at 9:00. I think the official park closing time is stated as being 9:00.

When is the latest time that the monorail would be going from the Poly to the MK (making the resort loop?)

When is the latest time that the busses would be going from the MK to Pop?

The resort monorail runs till 11 pm every night or two hours after the MK closes, whichever comes first. This is to transport guests eating at monorail hotel restaurants back to their resorts.

In your case, you should be able to get a ride back to the MK after Wishes; if Wishes is at 9 pm, you'll have plenty of time. Worst case scenario: you'll need a cab back.

We are essentially doing the same thing that night!! We have 7:10 reservations at Chef Mickeys and are leaving there and going to the Poly to watch the fireworks/water parade. Maybe we'll see you there!!

AWESOME! Great minds think alike Maybe if we get stranded we can split a cab Just look for a 5'9" blonde girl and a 6'4" guy with most likely a Ravens or Orioles hat (or some Maryland sports team ) We haven't decided where to eat for dinner yet. We considered Chef Mickey's, but I don't think I can eat that much $$ worth of food. We're still deciding. Can't wait- about a month to go

Sounds good!! We'll be there with our three kids. (DD 10, DD 7 and DS 3) I've been meaning to go to Home Depot and pick up the green Mickey paint swatches to put on our back packs and things. I'll probably wear one that night so maybe we will see each other!!

Okay, to set all the confusion straight:

Bus transportation back to the resorts will run from the MK until the MK is clear of all day guests. (typically 2 hours)

The MK Resort Monorail will run until 11:00, or whenever the MK clears of all day guests (typically 2 hours)

The MK Resort Monorail will DROP OFF at the MK up until 90 minutes past closing time. After 90 minutes, there will be no DROP OFFS at the Magic Kingdom. The train will still stop, and potentially pick up, but no one will be allowed to exit.
