Here are my plans for our one day at MK (Saturday 1/24, an evening EMH day). This is our first trip with FP+. Any suggestions from those who have more experience?

____________

9:00 Rope Drop - not sure what we will do. Maybe Peter Pan, Small World, Teacups...

10:40 - 11:40 - 7DMT

11:30 - 12:00 - BOG FP+ (did not choose food)

1:45 - 2:45 - Space Mountain

2:50 - 3:50 - Buzz Lightyear (husband and son)

3:00 - catch Parade en route to Frontierland (daughter and me)

3:00 - 4:00 - Big Thunder Mountain (daughter and me)

7:00 - Dinner @ Captain's Grill (staying @ YC). Thinking I should cancel this and plan to stay at MK longer.

Do SDMT and Pan at RD. Small World and Teacups can be done from 10:30 - 11:40. You're going to want to arrive earlier to the parade route (think 30 minutes early).

Yes good call on the parade. Are you saying ride 7DMT at rope drop and then again an hour later?

Also thinking of reserving a monorail resort restaurant, watching fireworks from GF or Poly (if we can with construction???) and taxi back to YC to avoid post fireworks crowds. I could get Kona or GF Cafe???

I take it you are leisurely tourers? Doesn't seem like you are doing much. I would have a ton more scheduled than that but I'm a go go go kind of guy. :thumbsup2

There's a lot you're missing, even at a leisurely pace...we take the 3 FP's offered for the top attractions but at RD....we head to Adventureland and hit all the attractions with shirt lines thru Frontierland over to Liberty Square...we sort of by pass Fantasyland ( other than 7 dwarfs ) and head into Tomorrowland....just a few of "our" favorites...COP, Peoplemover, Stitch, Buzz, Tiki Room...Country Bears.....

Oh no... I would not say we are leisurely. I did not include every single attraction we plan to hit. Just the ones that needed to be planned ahead of time because of FP+. I can see now how that was confusing because I called it a touring plan.

I don't really have a feeling for how much we will be able to do in between FP+. I scheduled them in one hour intervals, but I am assuming there will be time to hit some less popular rides in between. Is that right?

In the fastpass- days I could knock out all of Fantasyland and most of Adventureland by 11am without using a single FP. I think that is still possible on the current system. At some point, I am going to post up my normal routine for everyone to critique to see if it still holds up.

I would love to see your normal routine. We have not visited WDW For several years and I'm pretty sure we did not make any plans ahead of time except of course for dining reservations & BBB. We only have 2.5 park days this trip so I probably need to be a little more organized.

I'll try to remember to look it up tonight after I wake up and post it for you. I should qualify one thing from "all of fantasyland" We never bothered with Dumbo and it obviously does not include sdmt or meet and greets. Just rides that were there in 2011.

No, I would do SDMT first thing. If you have a FP+ for SDMT you can disregard RD and just do it at your FP+ time
