MK to VWL transp. question....

Is it better to take monorail to ttc then board bus, or take boat to VWL from MK. Or better yet, should we try to walk from MK to Contemporary Resort and board a boat to VWL. We've never walked to CR from MK. Is it possible? Last year it took forever to get a boat from the MK. And it wasn't even Easter! This year will probably be nuts especially if we leave after the fireworks. Thanks for your help!

In Dec/Jan we only took the boat from MK to VWL and had no problems. Never waited that long. I do think their is a walkway from Contemporary to MK but not 100% sure....

Take the boat directly, it's very easy. Walking to CR from MK is also very easy, but a longish walk. You have to go through the parking lot, through the lobby, out past the pool, etc. to get to the boat dock. Then you still have to wait for the boat.

I was there 2 weeks ago, the boat from MK was great. Going to MK, the boat usually stopped at FW first. In the mornings it went direct.

I've never had a problem with the boat transporatation to the MK. That being said, we have taken the boat to the Contemporary and then used the monorail, but that was to satisfy our need to sometimes ride the monorail. It was not a time saver. I've never used the bus to the MK.

We were at the WL a few days ago and there definitely is now a bus from WL to MK directly. ( bus stop #1 that used to say TTC and Ft Wilderness, now says MK and Ft. Wilderness ) There wasn't anybody waiting at the bus stop, so I suspect most people still take the boats. It's nice to have another transportation option available from WL to MK, especially during downpours and when the lines for the boats are a mile long.
