MK to Poly - how long?

Excited for our first trip to Disney! We have ADR at Polynesian for 9:20. Planning to take bus from our resort to MK, then monorail to Poly. Is there any chance that we would be able to enjoy the rope drop festivities at MK and still make it to our breakfast res. on time? This will be a day without EMH, so MK will open at 9am. Thanks for any help.

I've read that the MK welcome happens at around 8:45 so you should be able to make it to the Poly for breakfast by 9:20. In addition to the monorail there is also a boat that goes back and forth from MK to Poly. Have a great trip!

To get to the monorail from the MK bus stop you have to walk past the Poly resort launch (gold flag). It's just before the monorail. I'd use that if it's a nice day. It stops briefly at GF and then the Poly. It takes about 10-12 minutes. On a nice day it's a beautiful trip.
