How long should we plan for transportation from MK to Ohana for a 5:00 dinner reservation? We plan on going to MK for the day and heading over for dinner at Ohana and then back to the park for a couple of hours.
Thanks!

The ride should only take a few minutes. Leave the park and head straight for the resort monorail. From the time you exit the Magic Kingdom gates, you should be disembarking at the Polynesian within 15 minutes in most instances.

Depending on when you catch the monorail i would figure no more than 15 minutes.

I would head out of the Magic Kingdom no later than 4:30pm. I would expect a massive crowd of people waiting to check in at 'Ohana. Lots of walk ups try to get in at 5pm and line up early.

We got there early... the kids got leis, we walked around the resort, and there was quite a long line of people checking in for their reservations at Ohana. After dinner we hung around for a while, took some pictures of the kids on the beach. Honestly, it was the most enjoyable evening of our trip. I wouldn't try to rush there and back.

Also, you can take the small boat instead of the monorail. As long as there isn't a crowd too big to fit on one boat it's just a few minute wait and ride across the lake.
