MK to FW Campgrounds

I am going in December for the first time in winter.
I have a ADR for Trails End for dinner at 8pm, my question: does the little resort shuttle boat that goes from MK to FWC run in the dark? Will I have to take a bus? I love the little launch.

There is no bus from MK to FW, only the boat. The boats do run at night, in fact we've gotten a nice view of the Electric Pageant going to or from FW. Make sure you get on the right boat, at the same dock is the boat for the WL, so check the signs to be certain you are in the correct line.

yes, although they are hopefully going to be changing this back to the way it was soon.

But to OP - the FW route has 2 66 ft 120 passenger cruisers on the route 95% of the time. It's very rare for the "green launch" to be deployed due to the heavy traffic on the route. So unfortunately, at least for this destination, you won't get to be on the small launches.

If you REALLY want to take the launches, get on the red launch to the Wilderness Lodge, then catch the Blue launch to FW.

Either way, allow 1.5 hours as both routes have heavy traffic and it might take 2 boats of wait time to get to your destination.
