We are planning to spent the day at MK next Monday. I'm having trouble deciding which park to have dinner at to make our touring most efficient....or would we be better off running over to the Poly while the crowds clear at closing. We only have 3 days at the parks and will be squeezing in Epcot for a little while each night. I know we could just grab counter service, but it's my birthday and I'd like something a little bit nicer, so long as we don't lose too much time. Also, how much time should I allow for transfering between parks?

Hey there...a couple of suggestions for you....since the parks will probably be on the quiet side next week...you really have some options. You could book a nice lunch in the Magic Kingdom...and there are a couple of good places...Cinderella's castle...Liberty Tree Tavern...Crystal Palace...and some are character lunches...or you can have a quick lunch...do as much as you can in the park...and dont miss the 3 o'clock parade by the way...then take the monorail over to Epcot Center....enjoy the night and grab a quick bite in the American Pavilion and see Illuminations. After Illuminations you can walk to Boardwalk Hotel and have a nice late dinner at the ESPN Club--they have a great chicken caesar salad. If you are driving and staying on Disney property....just drive over to Boardwalk...park the car and take the bus to Magic Kingdom...then Epcot and then a short walk back to Boardwalk and a nice dinner if not at ESPN one of the other great restaurants there. Hope this helped...and by the way...Happy Birthday....my wife and I will be taking the cruise on the Magic on 11/30 and I will be celebrating my 50th on the ship on December 2nd--followed by 5 nights in Disney on 12/7-12/12. Nothing tops spending your birthday in Disney World...or on a beautiful ship...
Have a great time!

I would do all you can at MK, small counter service lunch. After parade monorail to EPCOT, if you leave at midday it should be no more than 30 minutes to get to EPCOT. It's food and wine festival time so snack at the many booths. You can either do this for dinner or eat just enough to keep you going and try to get 7:45 pm reservations for a nice sit down meal. The guys here will tell you which ones are the best if you ask, and with any luck you will be enjoying dessert when Illuminations starts! We will try this at Japan, unless someone posts, "no not Japan!"

Wow, you are going to be at EPCOT during the food and wine fest...why not just treat yourself to some of the wonderful foods located around the World Showcase.

Enjoy!
