MK table service

Hello Everyone

I am booking this weekend and know already that we will do one MK table service dinner at BOG, but I have really been struggling with the second. I prefer no buffets. Not interested in meet and greets. I have Skipper's Canteen on the radar, but I worry that the menu is too out there. As a family, we aren't exotic eaters and one will not eat seafood. Would love to hear what people think the best table service restaurant in MK (other than BOG).

I second Liberty Tree Tavern if you’re unsure about Skipper Canteen... it’s basically Thanksgiving.

Have you looked at Liberty Tree Tavern? For dinner, it is an "all you care to enjoy", but not a buffet. They'll just bring you as must as you want to eat. The food is very familiar, and not exotic in the least.

The Plaza has table service, but it's more like fast food in menu. Great milkshakes, though.

I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Tony's Town Square to anyone who has ever had good Italian food.

Honestly, when we want TS at MK we get on the monorail and go to the Poly or CR. The Wave would be a great choice.

I'm not all that fond of the TS restaurants at MK, but we do go to LTT and Skipper Canteen every trip. We love the AYCTE at LTT and the ooey gooey toffee cake is amazing. Skipper Canteen is good and there are some less "exotic" meals there like the chicken. Definitely give it a try.

MK is not known for it's TS restaurants including BOG. Would like to see your review after you eat there. IMHO jump on the monorail and enjoy one of the restaurants at the Grand Floridian or Contemporary. Plus its a nice break from the MK craziness for a while.

Can't agree on the toffee cake. First, it's not cake; it's more like a big cookie. It's not ooey or gooey, just covered with ice cream and toppings. My least favorite dessert at WDW.

As others have said Liberty Tree is a good option. We like lunch so we can order a la carte as dinner is served family style like Thanksgiving Dinner which is not exactly what I want in the Florida heat.

Skippers Canteen is very good. We usually just order a bunch of appetizers and share them as I find they are better than the entrees. I don't find their food out there at all, but only you know your family's tastes.

Going to a nearby resort is also a great options as others have suggested. We like The Wave and Grand Floridian, but have only done breakfasts there. California Grill is of course spectacular. And Wilderness Lodge is a quick boat ride away and Whispering Canyon is a bbq place that is a lot of fun.

Skippers Canteen and The Plaza are the only TS restaurants we like in MK. BOG isn't terrible, but it is way too expensive for what you get, in my opinion. We don't like any of the other options, although we have never been to Tony's for a myriad of reasons.

I would recommend Liberty Tree Tavern at MK. Unfortunately I cannot recommend Be Out Guest for dinner. Since it's a prix fixe menu, I feel you don't get the quality for the price. The food just wasn't that good the last two times we went. (Yes, we went back a second time after a bad experience, thinking it was just an off night). If you have never been in the castle, I'd recommend breakfast or lunch, not for food quality, but to see the castle.

If you are looking for traditional food, LTT is a good option.
We enjoy more adventurous dining and were disappointed as Skipper Canteen has removed some of their more interesting items and made the menu more routine. Its still good just not as unique.
I get it, a lot of diners want routine and not unique and they will make what sells the best.
We ate at BOG in May and were pleasantly surprised. There were 3 of us. All had different appetizers and entrees and all were very good. For the quality of the food, the price seemed fair. The dessert could use some work. It looks really nice, but doesn't taste up to par with the rest of the meal.

I think that Skippers is good. It looks exotic. It is not.

Another vote for Liberty Tree Tavern! It was a spur of the moment decision on our last trip and got the reservation the day of, but DH said it was probably the best meal, food wise, of the trip.

Tony's is our go-to MK. It has so many terrible "legacy" reviews from people who were there five years ago, but every time we have been in the last two years the food was all very tasty and the service was outstanding. I've heard it compared to Olive Garden and I think that is fair, but I actually like Olive Garden...
