MK strategy for busy nights?

We've skipped MK at night for a few years now, but I'm excited to see Wishes on my next trip! I know it will be busy, being Easter Week. I plan to do a different park in the a.m., then arrive early in the evening @ MK. Any tips?

I've never been at WDW during the Easter holiday but I'll just bump this question back to the top of the list for you so that some of our Disney veterans can offer advice.
