I know my trip is a year away but I am looking at starting to get plans together so that when I book I know what I want. I need advice......for the day we go to the MK I am planning to eat breakfast at Kona. When I was younger I remember Tony's being great and I thought that it would be perfect for the honeymoon but with all the negative reviews I am having doubts. I know that I want to eat lunch or dinner at the Plaza its a favorite. I don't what a Character meal as we are doing 4 already so Crystal Palace is out and dinner at LTT is out. Should I risk Tony's and go with the original plan or should we eat at LTT for lunch and go to the Plaza for dinner? I also really don't want to leave the park and we are going to be doing the Deluxe Plan. HELP!:confused3

I would do The Plaza for lunch and Tony's for dinner.

Or consider a meal at one of the monorail resorts? It's pretty convenient and doesn't take much longer than a TS in the park.

Tony's is hard. The reviews are SO spotty, it is hard to judge.

My advice, if this is a place that intrigues you, and you want to try it, go for it. Worst case scenrio, it is not your new favorite and you never go again.

Or it could become your new favorite place!

I have only been once for lunch on a VERY hot Sept. afternoon. We had a lovely seat on outside under a fan and watched the people go by. The food was good, just a caeser salad and a flatbread, but it was a very nice experience and I would try it again.

Have fun planning!

With the Deluxe plan you might be able to afford a 2 credit dinner like Artist Point located at the Wilderness Lodge. It might be worth a very short bus ride from MK to WL to experience dining that would blow away anything inside MK. Remember to secure some FastPasses before you leave. This way when you return you could walk right on your favorite attractions.

over at GF, there's Narcoosees, the GF Cafe and the Afternoon Tea (not covered on DDP, though)

Or take the boat. It's more fun and feels faster.

I love the idea of Artist Point and we plan to eat there for one of our meals, but I really want to avoid leaving the park if I can. Has anyone done LTT for lunch and Tonys that can comment on them. If I don't do Plaza for lunch and Tony's for dinner like I planned, I was thinking to do LTT for Lunch and Plaza for dinner. Keep me posted and thanks for the replies so far:thumbsup2

This one is kinda out there, but I would suggest Cinderellas Royal Table if you can get in.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at WDW and ate there one night. We ate right before wishes and mid meal the fireworks were going off and that is something you don't see everyday while eating. We noted that it was our honeymoon when we made the reservations and they treated my wife really well by calling her "princess" and "my lady" all dinner, which they probably do for everyone, but she liked it and still talks about it. They gave us a free desert to share and gave us free wine glasses (without the booze in them :( ). Four years later and we still use those wine glasses on occasion. The atmosphere was really romantic (to her) and the treatment by the waitstaff was unrelenting.

Now, the food wasn't all that great and it was expensive, but that is all opinion based on our likes and economic situation. But she really thought it was romantic and worth the money to be a princess even though she married a frog...

it all depends on what your idea of good italian food is. Some people LOVE olive garden.....being italian and from NYC i think this is crazy, but who am i to judge. If you fall into the first category then Tonys might be good for dinner, but if you are more on my side then avoid tonys at all cost. In my opinion its way overpriced for what you get, and from recent reviews the waitstaff has been less than attentive. It only takes 10 minutes to get somewhere on the monerail, and there are such great options at the monerail resorts. Kona cafe for dinner is great, as well as citricos at the GF, and cali grill at the contemp.
