I am trying to cut things from the budget, it is seeming like all of the things I REALLY want are the worst value. lol. This stinks!

For those of you that did the MK shoot do you feel you got your moneys worth?

Did anyone not get any pics thy liked? It seems like a hefty price for so few pics, but I REALLY want to do them!

For those of you that skipped the MK shoot, do you regret it? Did you end up going back to do it? You get a year right?

I am seriously coming close to throwing all caution to the wind and just starting to put some of this stuff on credit cards. There are just a few things that are over budget, and everything seems important. It is so hard to pick what to cut!!!

I cut it and don't regret it. I haven't seen any pics out there that really seemed worth $1000. I put the money toward a good photographer and DP photos since I'd rather capture the actual moments of the wedding.

It was a fun experience but not at all worth the money. You really don't get anything except 4x6 pictures and you have to pay for any other prints you want which are also overpriced IMO.

I didn't do it and don't regret it. I went back and forth about it for a long time, in the end I decided it just wasn't really 'us'. Not that we had any kind of budget really lol, just after spending 10k on our photographer we couldn't see spending 1k more for so little. We did get some amazing photos in Epcot after our dessert party with our own photographer, I think they turned out much better.

If you really want them, do it. Your wedding only happens once (well in theory) :goodvibes

I did it and regret it. Our photos ranged from barely competent to downright awful, and I never look at them because it makes me feel sick to have wasted all that money.

The quality of the equipment they use has improved since then, and the number of pictures they tweak in Photoshop (if that's something you're looking for). I'm sure the people who loved their pictures will be along shortly to give you another perspective! :)

Geez!! I hope so, because we're doing it:rotfl2: ...I'm keeping my fingers crossed we get a few good pics out of it at least...I'm doing because I know me and I just know I'm going to regret it if we don't do it.....and I hate second guessing myself, sometimes I drive myself crazy! :rotfl:

I did it and I am so glad I did.

It was something I went back and forth on for a very long time because it really is a lot of money. I lucked out because I went crazy cutting down my beo and then actually came in under my minimum. I needed to spend another $2500 so I immediately added the MK shoot back on.

I loved my pictures and my photographer was really great. My suggestion would be to look at as many pictures as possible from past brides, find out who their photographer was if you liked their style and try to request them on the day of your shoot. That way you can kind of know what to expect for your pictures. I think Disney photography actually updated their site to show you the work of their photographers. Maybe check that out too. Good luck!

I did it and LOVED my pictures! I really can't imagine not having them. It's only a once in a lifetime oppurtunity, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

We did it and loved it! I particularly liked it because the style of the Disney photographer was different than the Roots, so I got a different perspective on my dress, us, etc.

We did pay to buy the image disk, because they were so good, so that's even more money. But, knowing what I know now, I could have gone with fewer actual "prints" in my photography package (from the Roots) and easily slid that money toward the MK shoot.

I know a lot of brides have been unhappy with their MK photos, but lately (the last couple months), I've seen REALLY good pictures (Toni, Cam, Lisa, I know I'm leaving out someone!!!)

Here is the link for our pics, so you can judge for yourself. We really loved them. I guess the only way that some people like them so much and some other don't, is that Disney does not have consistent quality across their photographers.

We did it and got three great shots...
and while i was one of the walking dead (way to early)...we had a fun time with the shoot...

is that a lot of money for three pics....yes
would i have canceled...no

I'm so glad we did it and 5 years ago we were lucky that since we went with Randy Chapman we got credit towards the MK shoot. The pictures were really good and the experience was incredible.

We did it and absolutely LOVED the experience. It was truly the most unique part of the day, something that no one but Disney wedding couples get to do. The whole experience was so magical for us and our pictures are beyond anything I would have hoped for. I am so, so glad that we did it and I don't regret a penny or a second spent. (BTW, if you want to see our pictures, I'll be glad to post the link and username/password -- I just didn't want to pirate: your thread with our pix).

Could everyone give the name of their Disney photographer who did their MK shoot. I want to be sure that if I do get them, they turn out good.

I agree Amy and Ty seem like the best that I have seen so far. I haven't really seen others yet though. I loved my pictures. Amy did some great shots. It is a good thing to do since it is something you can only do once BUT I just wish they gave you the disk and the rights.

My thing was this I would love to do any of the Disney photo shoots but to only be able to walk away with 12 pictures seems like a waste. I mean I think it is really cool to be able to do it but my big fear is that if I spend the money and the pictures aren't great I would feel really bad considering we are going to be on a military family budget. And there are a lot of things you can do with $1,000. Also DF is a military photographer so he is very picky about pictures which makes it even more difficult. Thats just my two cents...

We did it and I don't regret it one bit. Its my favorite park and just the experience was neat. Do I love all 100 photos? Nope, but with that said the bunch I love are breathtaking, IMHO. We got the proofs of all of them, plus the album and I'll buy the cd next year for $100 and then do all sorts of fun with them.

The only thing I regret is that I didn't add on an Epcot shoot to the morning.

Did it, love the photos, would do it again for certain.

Photographer was Paul

Can't wait to get our cd this fall!
