So my planner got back to me about the MK shoot and said that if it's within 3 days of the wedding my bouquet can be refreshed for $100. What extactly does that mean? Do I get a completely new bouquet? Hoping some past brides can help out. Thanks!

I could be wrong, but I think "refreshing" the bouquet includes replacing any flowers that have wilted too much.

Depending on the types of flowers used, and the time of year, most of the flowers in your bouquet could last a few days, but some of them (the more delicate ones) could be wilted within a few hours.

I would say that if you are doing the MK shoot the day of or day after your wedding, forget the "refreshing"...two or three days later, you might consider it. But that's my opinion, I'm sure others will have some input too...

Im not really sure what it means but you may want to consider getting silk flowers. i did my wedding in aug and did photos hours before the wedding so we went silk and they look just like real flowers, i had a big cascading boquet for 150

Thanks girls! I think I'll make a smaller silk one to use. I can use it for a toss bouquet for our at-home reception as well!

but i am paying for the refresher bouquet.

i figure i'm dropping $800 for the photos! may as well shell out a bit more for a fresh bouquet

:)

hiwaygal is right they replace and flowers that need it. My shoot was 3 days after the wedding and I have to say it looked exactly as it did on the day, I think they must of changed out most of the flowers as all the roses were closed and looked like new.
Mine was $75 but that was back in September.

I'm actually going with an outside floral person and she's doing a silk replica of my bouquet for me (which also saves the cost of doing keepsake flowers :thumbsup2 )

Thanks for the advice. Our shoot is only 2 days after our ceremony. So I may make a small silk on and bring it in case. Maybe the bouquet will still look good. I'm going with the standard french-style bouquet.

I'm doing hydrangeas and the cost to refresh that is $125, according to Rosie. I was pretty bumbed because I thought it was only going to be around $50, but like someone else said, I'm already shelling out $800, so I might as well! The silk flowers is an interesting option though...

i had my MK shoot 2 days after the wedding. i put the flowers in the fridge after the wedding, they were ok for the shoot. a couple were a little not-at-their-best but all in all it was ok. the photos they take dont tend to be too close up anyway.

Hi,

No you won't get a new bouquet. What they do is replace dead/dying flowers and usually add some new greens but all else stays the same.

Have a Great Wedding!!!!!
