Hi everyone!
I'm heading to Disney next week, and I've never made it to a MK rope drop before. So I decided I'm gonna try this trip!
I'll be using Disney transportation from the AllStars to get there and I was wondering, how early should I be in line for buses to make it to MK at a good time?
Thanks!

Get in line for the bus a minimum of 45 minutes before the scheduled park open. An hour is preferable.

I would get in line for the bus well ahead of 45 minutes. I'd get in line for the bus an hour or more ahead of time.

Best to plan to be at the park itself about 45 minutes before scheduled time with the earlier the better. Also keep in mind that it's not uncommon for them to open MK about 15 min ahead of scheduled opening time

Be at the Bus Stop no later than one hour before open to be safe.

Here are Magic Kingdom Welcome times for this week.:)
Daily at 7:50am(8:40am Sun; 6:50am Fri)

Sorry to hijack this with my own question- is the 1 hr before rule also true for EMH, or only for regular rope drop? i.e. if there is EMH at 8 does that mean I have to leave the hotel by 7am?

Thanks all!

I'd be at the resort bus stop by no later than 7:15AM (earlier would be safer.)

The thing you can't predict is how busy the bus stop will be (how many other guests)
-and- just how many buses will be running from your resort stop that morning.

As always...
At WDW it is better to arrive far too early than to arrive one minute too late.

6:45am at the bus stop for an 8:00am MK opening time

We tried to get to the bus stop no later than 90 minutes before rope drop each morning and we were always very close to the front but never first. By 45 minutes before rope drop it was always getting busy. It just depends on how important it is to you to get to that first ride.

I would say yes.

We went to Epcot for EMH last month--granted, a low crowd day. Park open was 9am so EMH was at 8. We were in line at ASSports at 7:08 am. We made it to the park in good time for rope drop, although not at the front of the pack. At rope drop, we headed directly to Frozen. Posted wait was 15 minutes, actual wait about 10-12.

I do think that the earlier the park opens, the more wiggle room you have.

6:45am at the bus stop for an 8:00am MK opening time
I did exactly this for over the summer and at first I still had a bit of panic. When I got to the bus stop it said the next bus was at 7:13, I was soo sad that I was going to have to wait for almost a half hour for a bus and I was thinking it would put me there later than I had hoped. I sat down with my poptart :) and prepared to just take what came. A couple of minutes later some ladies entered, looked at the screen and were excited to learn there was a bus almost there. I was afraid to turn around because I was thinking for sure they were headed to a different park. Nope, the screen had changed and it said 6:53!! I turned back around and there was the bus! All of this to say you never know and I definitely agree that it is better to be far too early than one minute too late!
